  1. Always good spending time with you guys Jim. Here's that pic I took of you.
  2. If it's only 8k, have you talked to the marina about them coming and getting it themselves ??
  3. Hooking into muskies at night is a blast and you got a real nice one there, congrats on getting your PB
  4. Top water baits can be effective any time of day and even work well when the water is choppy. I don't fish after dark much anymore but we used to do it alot and a favorite tactic was using a 10" black jointed Believer clipped on the shallow eye and work it slowly over shallow water. The combination of the slow rhythmic wobble of the bait on the surface, along with the clicking of the rattles is irresistible to muskies and you'll be surprised at how many you get.
  5. Great stuff Brian, always good to see the kids having a blast !!
  6. Interesting that outta 15 follows, only one fish committed. Were they aggressive follows or only out for a look ??
  7. Actually Randy, the truck is dark brown I was definitely in that gas station yesterday & towing the Skeeter but I don't know how the heck I could have missed you if we were both sitting in the truck ?? It's funny but we always stop there on the way home for gas and a Timmies, and ever since I first ran into you there a few years back I always look for you. Next time be a bit more forceful when you're banging on my window, my old ears aren't that they used to be.
  8. Yup, that's where I got mine too.
  9. I'm in agreement with Roy on the Guest chargers. I put one on a new boat back in '99, used it for 10 years then sold the boat to a bud and the Guest is still going strong after 14 years. My current boat came with a built in MK charger but if it didn't, I'd be using another Guest.
  10. Your right about that, I could watch those birds all day long. We had a mink (I think) run across the front lawn yesterday and then almost immediately a Golden Eagle started circling 50 above my head so I assume he was after the little guy, but I never got to the camera in time.
  11. But it's not all bad cause within a 1/4 mile of the cormorants there's Osprey, Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles, but I haven't gotten close enough to the Goldens for a picture yet. I love seeing this stuff
  12. Don't have any Rich, the cormorants ate all the muskies
  13. Atta boy Mike !!....and Bro
  14. I was fishing Nippissings West Arm this morning and things began getting a little crowded. It was very windy and I was a ways away so the picture is a bit blurry, but you get the idea
  15. We don't know what was going thru the cops mind and perhaps he even thought there was still someone on the streetcar with the guy holding the knife. Personally, I'd just as soon wait till the truth comes out before some of you guys lynch the cop.
  16. Vamp Spook maybe
  17. Thanks Dan, that's my Happy Place
  18. Great early morning read Pete, thanks. Looks like a fantastic trip with some good fish to boot !!
  19. If I ever did smile in one of my reports Mike, you guys wouldn't have anyone to chuck bull at edit to add.....Silly word censor
  20. Thought I'd add this other picture of the fish when she tried to dislocate my shoulder just as the camera clicked. Tough to hold those big slimers still when they decide otherwise
  21. Thanks again folks, that fish came on a large black/orange spinnerbait. I just got back to the cottage 30 minutes ago but lost possibly the very same fish earlier today. I was only about 100' off the spot and she hit as the bait splashed, gave a couple good headshakes, jumped 2 feet outta the water and threw the bait. Oh well, it's good to see the fish win the odd tussle but I'll be going back for another visit this evening.
  22. Thanks guys, we're having a great trip so far. It's cool and windy which is exactly what I like for fish'n.
  23. Mornin boyz, my wife and I are up at Lakair Lodge on the West Arm of Nippissing for a couple weeks looking for muskies. I absolutely love fishing this body of water for muskies every June and August and although they take alot of work to get them, I'm fortunate enough to do quite well up here and usually get 1 or 2 nice ones each trip. I got this pretty lady my 1st trip out on Sunday and she measured 51 inches and thought I'd share the moment with the rest of you musky nuts. I was alone in the boat with the camera on a home made mount so the pictures not the best and some of the tail is missing, but it's not too bad.
