  1. That was my thoughts also.
  2. We go out for dinner every Friday night, to a different restaurant each week, and I always order a Coke, and virtually every place has the same response....sorry we don't sell Coke, would a Pepsi be OK ?? It's just that watered down crapola and I can't tell the difference anyhoo, but perhaps there's a message there that Coke should be paying attention to. ....or not.
  3. Thanks again boyz, she made for some fun times.
  4. Gonna be your word against theirs Mike and if you were alone in your boat with nobody else to back up your story, there probably isn't a thing the authorities can, or will do about it. Did you think to get their boat registration numbers ??.....just a chance that they've pulled this scam before and maybe others have reported it with the numbers and the police may have it on record.
  5. Fantastic trip, fantastic tale & fantastic pictures !! Thanks for putting that altogether and taking us along bud. Really enjoyed that one !!
  6. I spent 32 years in a union working alongside some of the best men I'll ever know.
  7. Atta boy Terry, cocngrats on the new boat !!
  8. Yeah, your right Dave, the shoulder problem is arthritis and I don't spose it's gonna go away, but poppin a bottle of Tylenol before a fishing trip seems to take the edge off. Thanks for the comments guys, I'm looking forward to the next trip up there in August. And Joey, Diane has received your hug and says "your welcome"
  9. I've been up north fishing all week, how'd I get involved in this ??
  10. Thanks guys Joey, we'll be back up August 10-24 and it'd be great to see you guys again. Don't worry about the beets either cause Diane left a couple jars of stuff for you with Leslie for when you head up in a couple weeks. And Kevin, sorry I corrupted your employee, but I did explain to him that musky fish'n is far more important than working
  11. Best part was my partner for the day had never been in a boat when a musky was caught, specially boatside on an 8, so it was really good for him.
  12. I'm always smiling on the inside
  13. Lots of them in there Rich, ya just gotta keep plugging away. Sorry we missed you guys but thanks for the candies
  14. Mornin boyz My wife and I got home last night from our annual June trip to Lakair on the West Arm of Nippissing and as usual, we had a great week. Sad part is I've got a messed up shoulder so I'm kinda limited to only casting big baits for a couple hours a day but I still can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be. The weather was great all week and the only rain we had was late last Sunday. Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday was sunny, clear, really hot and a strong wind from the west and I never saw a musky. Thursday was much cooler with a cloud cover and the wind was now blowing strong from the east which I always prefer and we headed out at 8:00 AM About an hour into the day I had a follow from a big fish but after following my figure 8 around for a couple turns she disappeared. We drifted and kept casting for another 100' or so and another pretty lady started chasing down my bait, this time much more aggressively. She followed it hard for about 4 turns on the 8 then opened up and hammered it. It's always a blast when they hit hard right beside the boat and my partner got her in the net fast and to make things even better, the bait fell out in the net. I seldom measure a fish and never weigh them but I'm guessing this girl is somewhere around the 50" mark, give or take. Yesterday was nice again with some cloud and a strong wind from the east so I headed out for a couple hours. I had another fish about the same size follow me in but didn't take the bait and then awhile later I hooked into another one but lost her after a couple strong headshakes...oh well, it happens Anyways, that's how I spent last week and we'll be heading back up in August for another 2 weeks. And anyone who's ever been to the West Arm has enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises.
  15. $45 is definitely outta line, specially for a poor ramp, and personally I don't think I've ever payed more than $20. Thing that always bugs me though is guys who go to well established marinas with excellent ramps, great docks to tie up to, gas pumps, washrooms and whatever else, and still complain that $10 or $15 is too much. I swear some guys would complain about paying $2
  16. Beauty Mike, congrats to your bud
  17. That comes next week Steve
  18. They have been spoken to...many times...but they still don't get it. But they'll probably be the 1st to want the bears killed when something serious happens.
  19. My little Yorky-Poo is nearly 17 years old now and has eaten table scraps his whole life. He gets Ceasars dog food for breakfast, always has a bowl of dry food for whenever he's hungry, but for supper he has whatever we're having. He was at the vets awhile back for his regular check-up and she was saying that she can't believe how healthy he is for being 17 years old and asked what he ate. When I told her he eats whatever we have for supper she said not to feed him table scraps as it's very un-healthy for a dog. I reminded her that she just said she couldn't believe how healthy he was and she just kinda chuckled and said "yeah, I guess your right, go ahead and feed him whatever the heck he wants"
  20. Well it certainly wasn't my little pooch
  21. I coulda came over and driven you to work Cliff, but me thinks you'd rather be fishing off your dock and enjoying that cold beer.
  22. A few of the neighbors around here put their garbage out days before pick-up and it always leads to bears coming out for a free feast. After they finished stuffing themselves last night they took a short-cut across my front lawn to get back into the woods. Big tracks on the left will be Momma and the little ones on the right will be a cub
  23. Have a great trip Shaun, the Ottawa is also one of my favorites too.
  24. Have a good trip Mo, Diane and I are heading up on Satuday for a week.
  25. For my fibreglass boat I use a product called "On & Off" Brush it on and rinse it and it does an excellent job.
