  1. I don't really think the issue is with him killing a musky as much as it's him intentionally killing an under sized musky.
  2. Ya, he's the bad twin I know a guy here in the Kawarthas that thinks exactly like the doofis in the video. He told me one day that I should kill all the muskies I catch rather than release them because their eating all the pickerel. I asked him how he knew this and he said it's obvious because 30 years ago their were plenty of pickerel and now there's hardly any left. I said the 2 species have lived together for eon's so howcum the muskies all of a sudden just ate them all in the last 30 years and of course he had no answer. When I said perhaps the pickerel are maybe being over fished by humans he said that was just stupid. Tough to deal with some folks.
  3. Shop vac to get most of the water out then let it air dry with a fan running ??
  4. And sadly Brian, we're gonna be paying in alot more places if the garbage continues.
  5. I'm not an ice fisherman, infact I don't like it at all, but a group of us went to Simcoe one time although I don't even remember where we were but we parked beside a large orange building along with all the other fishermen and it was one of the most disgusting sites I've ever seen. There was garbage thrown everywhere, coffee cups, donut bags, pop cans, beer bottles and just about any other crap you can think of. It didn't stop in the parking lot either cause the same garbage was scattered all around the ice huts. Why the owners of the orange building allowed the pigs to park there is beyond me, but if I had any control of things up that way I'd be blocking everyone I could.
  6. I'm not a hunter Brian, so I have no idea what those areas are like, I'm talking about the boat ramps, causeways and parking areas used by fishermen.
  7. Whether what cram says is the reason or not, I've been saying the same thing for years, if the filthy pigs that fish among us continue to throw their garbage everywhere but in the garbage can, we'll be seeing a whole lot more places charging us to use the areas. And I've said it on this board many times over the years.
  8. Thunder, lightning, big wind and heavy rain at 8:00 but now it seems like it may be winding down. Best part is feeling the temps drop.
  9. I'd rather see a bounty on all the drunks, dopers, texters and everyone else that's killing people with their cars. Not an hour ago I was driving across #36 approaching Buckhorn when some moron stopped her car right on the hiway to have a look at what was happening at the side of the road.
  10. Free ??
  11. Really sad to hear that sorta thing. I've often driven north to the Nippissing area and would leave here around 4:00 AM and it's just plain scary how many moose, deer & bear you see in the dark.
  12. And THAT'S the exact reason I no longer fish muskies in the Kawarthas
  13. I got cut by a musky tooth one morning that ripped a pretty decent hole in my thumb but my partner had driven 100 miles to fish that day so I decided to continue rather than seeing a doctor. I kept it taped up for the day and finally went to the hospital 8 hours later where they used 8 stitches to close the hole. Doctor told me I was crazy for leaving it that long as lake water is very dangerous in a cut and could have caused a LOT of problems. Other than that, good to hear you had such a great day Cliff.
  14. Nope, we carved the images outta stone
  15. That's just plain nuts Dan, I'd have moved from that area a LOOOONG time ago.
  16. Family time at the lake is always fun times. Thanks for taking us along on the trip Simon, it was excellent !!
  17. The Garage & the Bear were always a sure bet for a musky or 2
  18. I've spent some time at Ausible & Whiteface myself Drew, but somehow my pictures didn't come out as good as yours Great bunch of pictures of a wonderful summer for you & yours.
  19. Yup, works for me Davey and it sounds like maybe they've found a nice new home for Charlie.
  20. Everyone puts down the trucks they DON'T own Phil, whether they be Ford, Dodge, Chevy or Toyota. Personally, I normally just skip over these posts.
  21. Lots of submerged rocks up that way that aren't market on the GPS and we've all hit them...and will again Sounds like you guys did really well considering it was your 1st time on that body of water. I was sposed to head over to Cross Lake for some musky fishing a few weeks back but we didn't make it, although we did go for a non-fishing cruise one day and it sure does have some good looking spots. Will be hitting it for sure when we're back up that way next summer.
  22. Happy to hear I'm not alone Drew LOL
