  1. Sorry to hear about this!! It sucks to see the little guy close because of the big boys crowding you out. Good luck in your next endeavour!!!!!
  2. Paradise!!! This month especially!!August is my fave month up north, the bugs are dying off and it's not as smokin' hot as July. Enjoy Bud!!
  3. I looked at it during the Sportsmen's show and it looks like a decent unit esp. for the price. I'm probably going to pick one up next year for the boat.
  4. You'll be fine with a Canadian Tire combo for the wife and kids. For the weekend warrior type of fisherman, they work fine. If you really work the water for hours on end, then, a better quality rod/reel shines with durability. You get what you pay for when it comes to fishing equipment.
  5. I stick to soft drinks, juice and lots of bottled water in the boat. I have zero tolerance for alcohol and boating. I don't drink very much these days because the the way I feel the next day just isn't worth it, besides, the kids don't care that daddy was up all night drinking with the boys, they still want to play at 6:30am. Keep the booze for the dock and the apres fish.
  6. Nice pair of 'skis!!! I'm hoping to hook one or two next week.
  7. My neighbours have a cottage there, from what I hear, there is some bass and plenty of panfish and the odd hammerhandle pike that they don't want in the lake. That's about it. Could be some fun.
  8. I hear ya!! At least next week when I'm on holidays the weather is supposed to cool down a touch and maybe I can get into a 'ski or two. But to fish today, NO WAY JOSE!! Best to sit somewhere where it is air conditioned or at least somewhere in the shade with a cool drink.
  9. Looks like you are living the dream bud!!! The camp is getting nicer and nicer.
  10. I guess you'll be building a nice timber palace there next...............
  11. I'd go back there next year if the cabins were nice. You need to figure out the fish on any new body of water. My first time on LOTW, I'd go out for 3-4 hours and catch nothing. Hit the right spots with my father in law later in the evening and in a half hour to an hour we'd limit out. You need to know the water and where the spots are. Make sure you have a portable fish finder next time you go along with a proper chart of the lake. You may be surprised how good the fishing can be when you find them.
  12. Salmon up that way are getting very very hard to come by. If you want good salmon fishing, Lake O is the way to go. For pike, walleye, muskie and bass, GBay is great.
  13. Get a chart!! Too many people think that they can be in deep water and be fine, Georgian Bay is notorious for having big rock cliffs come out of nowhere and while the back of the boat is in 100' of water, the front is up on a shoal. Go to your local West Marine and they should have the chart in stock, otherwise pick one up at one of the local marinas. Spending 30 bucks on a chart sure beats spending a couple thousand to repair your lower end.
  14. If it's an '08, why don't you contact LUND??? You may be able to get this repaired under warranty. I'm surprised nobody mentioned this. It's only 3 years old and to have a warped transom, not acceptable.
  15. The tubing pics are priceless!!! Looks like you were the one screaming like a little girl!! The Bancroft area sure is pretty and it looks like there are some nice lunkers in there. Now you got me Jonezing for some bass fishing...... This weekend.
  16. I'll be fishing GBay Friday afternoon if I can get up there early enough. I need an hour to get my trolling motor mount on right and I'll be hittin' the water and beatin on some bass. Nice pike BTW.
  17. Here we go......... Conspiracy theories abound. Like one of the Rockefellers said a few years ago before 9/11, 'don't worry about what you can't control, just take care of yourself and your family'. Tune into Alex Jones and watch Jessie 'The Body' Ventura's show. You'll be stockpiling food and munitions in no time.
  18. Has to be a problem with one of the seals. I think he could probably get a copy of the manuals at iboats.com.
  19. Nice!! My two girls love fishing for panfish and my oldest wants to come out with me for pickereyes one evening. Fun times!!
  20. Check your fuel lines to see if there is an issue with venting. Does the primer bulb on the fuel line stay full after you give it a couple of squeezes??
  21. I've got a St Croix Premier and a Shimano Compre in 2pc. The Premier is my go to musky rod. A bit more pricey but all in all, a nicer rod.
  22. Good news!! That's great Wayne! She'll be dancin' in no time!!
  23. For younger kids,8 and under, it's a great spot. All the rides don't have a height restriction on them and the kids will have fun so in that sense, it is worth it.
  24. Just checked it, you can order a net from them directly if you want. norsemenoutdoors.com
