  1. Make sure it has what you want/need in it. Don't get too fixated on the price, because if you don't have something on it that you want now, you may not be able to add it later depending on the configuration.
  2. Geez, looking at all that chrome, high rise intakes, blowers, cold air/ram air intakes brings me back. Gotta love cruise nights/car shows in parking lots. I'd love to see Waynes 'Bird some day. If you ever want to dyno it for s's and g's, my buddy has one in Scarborough. It'd be a nice little drive for her to stretch out her legs a bit. Definitely be nice to see a real car on that dyno and not a rice rocket!!! Big Blocks Forever!!!
  3. Irishfield would be the man to talk to or ask, but he is up at Lakair I think.
  4. What an embarrasment!!! Getting trounced like that by Beantown and then rioting??? What the hell??? Having been out to Vancouver, knowing that they don't like us Ontarians, you know what, I have a real reason not to like them now!! You go you bunch of morons, trash your city!
  5. That looks like one of those Polish Perch lures!! I'm getting snacky as my little one says, gotta get into some 'eyes this weekend.
  6. McCrae has some fish but it's tough fishing there, I have a buddy who has a boat/motor cache there for when he camps and he has a tough time catching there. For the amount of trouble to get there, I'd try somewhere else.
  7. I'd take a day and visit a bunch of them and speak to the owners and also to a few of the campers there. Get a good look at the facilities and see what they have to offer.
  8. Nice ride!! Now you have to take her for a shakedown cruise and get some slime on her!!!
  9. 6' Frontier Med action fast tip with my Stradic 2500 spooled with 15lb PP for jigging and my 7' St Croix Avid MH baitcaster with my Quantum Tour Edition Baitcaster spooled with 50lb PP. Covers all I fish for except Muskie.
  10. Good for you to spend some time with your grandparents and even better that you were able to catch a fish for a fish fry. Unfortunately, they will be gone soon enough and all you'll have is your memories of them, make sure you have plenty. I miss the 3 that are gone and my grandfather is going to be 99 this year but he has advanced Alzheimers, he is both deaf and blind now and has been in a nursing home for a few years. I hear you when you speak of the family dynamic that makes it difficult/impossible to hang onto the cottage. Wayne gave a couple of good tips for passing down the family cottage to the kids/grandkids. BUT, if CRA decides to call you on it, the principal residence clause can be a very sticky issue, if you bought the property for $1000 and in 50 years it goes up in value to $50 000 and in the 51st year you move in for a year and then sell for $55 000, you are still liable to pay the taxes on the increase of $49 000 from the time it was bought to the time you moved in. It is a bit of a grey area and if biz is slow, the taxman will probably come knocking.
  11. Let's not forget that you are spooled up with Power Pro, braided line also does wonders for sensitivity. With a good quality MH rod, it will be plenty sensitive. I love my St Croix Premier and my Quantum Tour Edition MH spinning rods that do double duty for pike and for pulling walleye harnesses, they are nice and light and are very sensitive.
  12. Joey, great report!! Nice fish!! Good to see you two are sliming up that shiny Lund REAL GOOD!!!!!
  13. Good Job!! Most people would have not bothered to keep at it. Your a good man Charlie Brown!! I hope your son appreciates the trouble you went to get that thing running so he could use it. You are right in one of your earlier posts, this is an incredible community, you had some real good advice from a lot of different people.
  14. 65deg Farenheight around Honey Harbour and around 60 in the deeper water.
  15. I wasn't there for the musky so I'm not the culprit. When there is a measuring tape taped to the side of the boat, it's kinda easy to get a quick measurement. Besides, in that area, you don't want to mess around too much with OOS and illegal fish, the OPP and MNR are all over the place checking boats which is a good thing IMO.
  16. Great report, I'm gonna have a smile all day thinking about it. Nice to see someone take the time to put together a report like that, thank you.
  17. There are walleye on Lake Muskoka, you just have to find where they are, if you find one, you'll find more.
  18. I've got a pic of the walleye we kept but it's pretty lousy, that's why I didn't put it up. The 'skis do have to be 54+ inches to be legal, besides, who wants to keep a big girl like that, a couple of pics, some measurements and you can get a fiberglass mount made that will last forever.
  19. Check out iboats.com. You may be able to score a deal there. And x4 on Citywide welding in Mississauga, I've heard nothing but good things about them.
  20. I pay just over $3k in Honey Harbour and that includes winter storage and my boat slip, hydro(30amp), water, sewage and lawn cutting. We have a nice little beach a stone's throw from the public dock in Honey Harbour and the kids are already swimming in the water (high 60s last weekend). There is only a few trailers and we are like a big family. You can find a nice 28-30ft'r for well under $20k. Most parks want you to have a trailer that is less than 10 years old coming in. I'd recommend buying one from Niagara Trailers. Their setup and after sales service is second to none. There are 2 other new trailers at our park from different dealers and both have had problems with service after the sale with setup and warranty. I've got some friends at Pigeon Hollow just outside of Bobcaygeon and it's a nice place as well. Not sure what the fees are there.
  21. There's some firewood for ya!!! Too bad, it was a pretty tree. I guess we know what you are going to be doing for the next couple of days.
  22. Good to see that it's not just a slap on the wrist. $2700 or close to a grand a piece is a good lesson. Jeez, who wants to clean more than a dozen crappie at a time, never mind 30+.
  23. We were out for about an hour and a half on Saturday evening on GBay on an undisclosed spot. We were 2 for 4 big Walleye. One was a 24"er and the other was a 22"er. Both were caught slow trolling worm harnesses. We ended up keeping the 24" since she was pretty beat up and we couldn't revive her. Lunch was good on Sunday. My buddy up there has caught 2 musky so far, one jigging with a GULP minnow and one with a worm harness. They were 48" and 52" and were successfully released. Figures, you spend the whole summer fishing for 'skis when they are in season and you catch the big girls when they are not. On another note, my boat had to come back out of the water, the new tach that Faria sent me was defective, it was reading inaccurately on all settings. So, back to Oro with her and hopefully I get the new guage real quick because I don't want to miss too much fishing time, the big 'eyes are in our little spot for another 3 weeks or so before they move on. Hopefully this weekend I get to go out again if the weather cooperates.
  24. A Bulldawg is a good follow up bait. But like Lew said, 3 rods rigged differently is the way to go. 4 if you have the gear.
