I think he caught them trolling with his perch gear! Yes I know I'm stirring the pot but what kind of question was that? The passionate muskie guys get bent out of shape because the fish we go for are few and far between and for such an ornery fish, they are quite fragile.

Good for him!! Further to what Lew said about JB's, Johnny Morris, the founder of BPS was amazed at Brian's store when he came up here prior to the Vaughan store opening. I think the smaller guys that have lots of stock on the shelf and provide good advice will still be around for many years to come.

That brandy sure looks dee-lish!!! Nothing like some good home brew to put hair on your tongue. I remember as a 3 year old when my granny was busted for making home brew (from the grape skins), the neighbour across the street came to warn us a half hour ahead of the bust (he was a po). The still was broken up and tossed in all the surrounding neighbours yards but they got 2 casks of baba's best. I'm sure it was disposed of one shot at a time. Those canned peaches look soooo good!!! I too am not a fan of pickles but canned peaches and pears during the winter months are great.

Muskie Fishing on a spinning reel and medium rod
bigbuck replied to SirWhite's topic in General Discussion
The Pete Maina reels (Muskie Angler) are decent for the price point. For someone just getting into muskie fishing, you already have a great rod, save a few bucks on the reel for now and focus on release tools. I helped some clowns out on Pigeon lake last year that had a small pair of rusty pliers and no net, the muskie was hooked and when it thrashed with buddie's hand near it's mouth, two trebles deep hooked his hand, they had no way of cutting the hook and his fingers were a couple of inches from the muskie's mouth. I helped them out and cut the hook off the lure so buddy could get his hand away from the fish and cut the one treble that went right through his hand, the other was his problem (I told him to head straight to the hospital), and cut the hook out of the poor muskie's mouth (by this time it was either dead or too late to do anything for it). For my troubles, the wind blew us up against the rocks on the western side of Big Island and my boat scraped up against them, $600 in damage to the gel coat. There won't be a next time for me to help out guys who aren't prepared. I'm still PO'd about it and will be for a long time. -
While your trailer may be in mint shape, it's 21 years old and many if not most parks want newer trailers, I know ours wants trailers less than 10 years old.

Although I did not agree with his politics, I respected him as a politician. My condolences go out to his family.

My condolences to you and your family. Facebook isn't the problem, it's the people who are on it. I hope this sister in law gets the message and doesn't pull this sort of nonsense again, it is pretty callous of her and is telling of the kind of person she is. I see lots of cold shoulders in her future.

An OFC'r has a trailer on site on either Couchiching or Simcoe, I don't remember, it's a pretty good deal for a nice modern trailer. Check the classifieds.

Minimum $12/hr, probably max $15/hr. It's a small retail setting and there aren't a lot of extra dollars to toss around.

That was a pretty little downtown area. Too bad, most of the old buildings will have to come down now. The power of Mother Nature is just simply astounding.

Great report Lew!!! I guess I have to put the West Arm on my bucket list.

They must have been overextended on their Line of Credit or they fell behind in payments. Whatever happened, it's too bad for the employees, hopefully they didn't get shafted too badly. There are a few props there that I'd be interested in but don't really need and the price is going to be driven up so I'm out. Now if they had a nice Volvo Penta Dual Prop lower unit........

Nice 'eyes!!! Awesome night guys!! Not only did you guys have great numbers but great size too!!! Way to Go!!

Let us know, I'm kicking around the idea of putting one in next year.

Great combo that you will enjoy for many years. I love my old school white Stradic 2500.

Everybody forgets the plug, ONCE!

It's due for plugs. Run that Carbonguard through it and don't troll when you are trying to clean out the engine!!! Let it breathe.......

I don't get that far out that I worry about a second bilge pump. If the boat is leaky, don't go far!! It's only common sense. I've got a buddy who has a 20yr old 18ft aluminum that we call the Titanic cuz it's seen the bottom 3 times (thankfully tied up at the dock). He's getting the leaking rivets welded but the worst thing is that he has pulled all the old foam out and has no intentions of replacing it. I won't be going out on GBay in this thing, one big wave and that thing goes straight to the bottom. I've told him about filling the voids with at least a bunch of 2l pop bottles and he won't even go for that. You can lead a horse to the water but you can't make him drink it...........

Don't go calling Sirloin 'cheap'!! It would make for a tastier steak than fillet since it has some more fat content. Just a bit of garlic salt and a touch of black pepper is all you need on a nice steak. Now you are making me hungry and it's bedtime! -
Probably no more than 20-40 bucks.

Send it in to Shimano to get reworked.

Stickshift and Clutch strike again!! I'd be a bit perturbed at having them approach in street clothes and in an aggressive manner. I hope you got their badge numbers and you should report their behaviour to MNR. Just because they have a badge doesn't mean they can act like that. I understand that they have a difficult job to do but at least they have a good well paying gov't job. At least you guys were 'clean' (and I don't mean your undies).
