If you get them, let me know how they turn out. At first glance they looked like they would be too bulky but I didn't try them on. Can't find much online in terms of reviews from casters. I have read good things about the kast gloves. Has anyone found good warm waterproof gloves for casting?

99.9% sure she's just a regular old musky. Does have interesting fins however. Here's my buddies from pigeon last weekend below. Once that fish grows up, like over 42", it will look clear. I'm no biologist, but pretty sure that fish might clear up. Most fish under 40" look like they have patterns similar, that musky's above are just really pronounced and got a lot of light on the bottom half for the pic.

Are you looking to cast with these gloves? I've been looking for a good waterproof pair to cast with that provides the dexterity you need... has to fit really snug on the fingertips. I usually just bring a few pairs of work gloves, the ones with grip textured palms. They are ok to cast with, but not waterproof. Still looking for a good pair of waterproof gloves to wear casting late season...

Awesome report. I love that place and I've never even been there!

They probably made up their mid to throw Stroman in game 5 before yesterday's game. I know there are a lot of critics out there but it makes sense what gibby did yesterday. Shut the door on texas with a lefty and leave him in as long as he could until we could throw sanchez in. Maybe Dicky could of gone longer considering the score and inning, but gibby didn't want to get texas going... and with Choo up and lots of game left, he wanted his lefty in. I still hope we have price ready in the pen should we need him in game 5. What a great game though! Such a great feeling seeing the boys light up texas finally, and the smiles and celebrations on the bench. If we were to end up 2-2, I'm kind of glad we won in texas going into game 5 with this momentum. Tomorrow is going to be fun.

I just put on michelin LTX M/S2's two weeks ago and I like them. Did a lot of research and seems like these are a good choice. I do find them noisier than my last tires though.

It's around the same price... 9 bucks a quart. Hmm... haven't heard that mixing semi-synthetic with regular oil is bad. I do not run synthetic now. Is there any truth to this? Should I stick with the natural stuff? I run a '04 merc 75hp oil injection 2stroke.

Browsing cabelas and considering adding a few quarts of this to my order. Does anyone have any opinions on this stuff? Any good?

Sonar Question- Down Imaging and Side Scanning
JoshS replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
Probably depends on what type of fishing you do. I like the SI a lot to find weeds and edges, rocks, stuff to fish. You can see how dense or tall weeds are to the sides, size of rocks, where the edge is. DI is good to determine what the regular sonar is reading, it's a pretty clear picture. For the extra $, if you're cruising around looking for structure, I'd say worth it. It's hard to determine what's a fish on it though (at least for me). Not sure how it would work fishing deep water... -
Karma... it is a three way street correct?

Wayne I've never met you but have been following this. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. What a fighter and an inspiration Jen was. She is now pain free and relaxed. Stay strong through this. My sincerest condolences to you and your family. -
heads up for opiate addicts/users/family/friends NF
JoshS replied to manitoubass2's topic in General Discussion
Addiction generally stems from much greater issues (mental health). Recreational use aside, addiction is a horrific disease. Couple that with mental health issues and most effected have little hope to live a normal life. Imagine trying to do that. For those that "have no sympathy"... I feel sorry for your ignorance. I'd keep the "no sympathy" comments to yourself. -
The buff revolution! Thanks for the tip, got a pack.

Wow, never knew the badger was so fierce! "That badger whooped my dog all sorts of ways. My friggen dog wouldnt get the point either." Kinda of a funny story tho.. must of been the narrative. Glad your buddy is ok!

If I catch a 8lb bass or 55in musky this weekend by accident, I might nab a quick shot. Or if I'm with a kid who catches their biggest fish. Otherwise I'd never do it. I understand the need for a rule to state no pics to enforce oos fish handling practices. Most of us on here I'd hope don't snap pics of oos fish on the regular. But I would be happy to see a CO give someone a ticket for mishandling oos fish any day.

Don't sweet it. Get out fishing if you can. You probably won't notice a difference. You'll experience a tough bite more so from other factors like weather and some days fish are biting well regardless. I'd say if it's a massive tourny then yeah, unfortunately it effects a lake (spots will get worked, fish caught/spooked and there will be less fish for you)... then maybe consider other options. Obviously smaller lakes are more effected. But if it's not a huge tourny and a big lake, doubt you will notice much effect from the tourny.

Happens a lot selling stuff online to strangers. Not kijiji's fault but the select individuals that don't respect other people's time. It's a good pace to sell stuff, just a bit annoying dealing with all the flakes. The trade requests are the best. I had one guy who seemed sold on my jeep only at the time of making the deal try to trade me a commercial fridge.

Wow. RIP B.B... The thrill is gone I've always really appreciated his style.

I got glue off easiest with a wire cup brush on the hull then a glue remover solution (http://reviews.canadiantire.ca/9045/0491051P/ds-super-ds-super-remover-paint-glue-and-varnish-remover-reviews/reviews.htm - worked better than acetone for me). Belt sander for the wood was the easiest. It's a labour of love but rewarding!

I hear that. I can't stand the chicken these days at box stores. It barely tastes like chicken. For those that care, there are some really good documentaries out there on this stuff. I know netflix has a few insightful ones. Great thread though! Some tasty looking dishes. I'm a fan of that cowboy cut rib steak a few posts back!

Replacing boat floor... Progress report
JoshS replied to mike rousseau's topic in General Discussion
Do some more research before throwing away the PT. Irish's suggestion sounds pretty good and coupled with sealing the wood sounds like it should work well. I sealed my wood with 3 coats of spar urethane and it turned out great. Definitely seal the crap of your wood so you won't have to worry in time.
