I always knew you were a 'mover and shaker' Dave, but now you're giving a whole new meaning to the phrase. Congrats to you, as others have said, you Sir are looking SVELTE!
Well, what I know about trailers, tires, boats, cars and trucks, most people ban fit in one nostril. So, unless I have compelling evidence that a manufacturer or general consensus is leading me astray, I'll follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
The link below will give you everything you need to know about deep cycle batteries including method for proper charging/maintenance. If you read it just one time, you'll already know more than most people know about deep cycle batteries.

Yeah, kind of you to do this for them, Moe. As others have said, mono in 6-8 or even 10lbs would be the best option. We shouldn't be 'dumbing' them down because they're young...youngsters learn quickly. I've been fishing for 60 years and if I could only have one outfit, that's what I'd spool it with. Don't go the fringe brands either. As much as Berkley is not my favorite company, Trilene is a good choice in either XT or XL.
I met one of those in Brisbane.

Not a silly question Bill. I'm using a 2 bank Guest on my 24volt system. Once the batteries are connected in series, Take the red and black leads and connect them to one battery and the other bank red and black to the other battery. I can PM you a pic of mine if you like. And you'll need a 2 bank of course.
As much as it is a cash grab, it was put in place to try to rid the waters of seadoos and other PWCs. I've said it all along, if you need to have the card anyhow, get it from a reliable provider. A Power and Sail Squadron in your area will give you the course but at least for the same money you'll learn something. You can belong to the squadron and keep learning and hey, you'll never have to worry about the business disappearing.
But that's just my opinion.
Nice report, WB. I'll be up there next week. The water levels seem pretty normal. Are you sure they were chipmunks and not red squirrels into the muesli? When I saw the muesli and the green tea in that second pic I was pretty sure there'd be no beer bottles in the following pics. Some great pics thanks and I'm glad you had a good time. I wasn't up there last year so I'm really looking forward to meeting up with some dear friends for some R&R.
Thanks again for taking the time.
You did great Norm. Next year, when I get to be your age, I hope I can do as well. Glad you're enjoying the carp thing. And please hug that Maribeth woman for me.....you can have one too if you like.
