  1. Great looking fish, Lukas. Thanks for sharing and welcome aboard!
  2. It doesn't look to be that cold, Heather. It looks like T-shirt weather to me. Glad you had a good time and thanks muchly for sharing your trip.
  3. Wish I could be there. I've never met a redneck from upstate New York...nor a Cajun from Hyannisport for that matter.
  4. Great pics, Bill. An awesome outing with your Dad. Nicely coloured pike too! Some beauty fish and super memories for you both. Well done!
  5. They have a boater's card so they're good to go. Sorry you had to put up with that.
  6. I have an Acer and an HP Mike, and I've had no trouble with neither of them.

    Hello

Welcome aboard Betty. I'm just sorry I missed ya.
  8. No difference at all. In fact I'm convinced they started painting them to hide defects. Although the ones that are painted with the vinyl might be a little less noisy when you're reeling your balls in....as it were.
  9. Great report......looks like your bud had a good time and you had time to relax. The easy way to tell a white bass from a white perch is to pull on the spiny dorsal fin. If the soft dorsal follows, then you have a perch, if not, it's a bass. Also, the white bass has 6-to 10 horizontal black lines on its sides.
  10. Wow, some beautiful shots, Joey! Great report I'm gunna have to look at that one a little more closely. I feel like I was there....kinda. Thanks Hon.
  11. It's a hype thing, Jer. You can kill someone with an improperly handled candlestick. Don't get me started.
  12. It's new for Zone 17. Do a search on it in here....there was a lot of talk about it. It was supposed to be 500 but they were bargained all the way down to 300.
  13. And if you don't want to post numbers here, take a look at the list in this link. http://www.obparts.com/years/johnson60.html
  14. I was looking forward to the post Rich....it couldn't have happened to a better guy. Congrats to you, BIGTIME!
  15. No, not at all. A pool is a good place to test baits...just go easy on the liner.
  16. I have a 42" livewell in my boat. I converted it to storage area. Most of my fishing is catch and release. The very few times that I do keep a fish it goes on ice. If it's just a day trip you don't even need the ice. For my needs, a livewell is useless.
  17. Well I'm glad that all of this is settled. The dogs are healthy and that was the main issue.
  18. Great point, Lew. And don't forget to unplug your trolling motor. I've heard of some horror stories with TMs being left plugged in.
  19. You got that 100% right. The voodoo around baitcasters is even more perplexing. The only reason mono lines coil off a spool is because of the spring in the line. There is no spring to braided lines. I'm baffled.
  20. Sure they make them but a 12v 100ah group 31 is $1500. and all you're really saving is weight. Of course you can always cut back to a 40ah for a measly $900.
  21. The poor skunk is at home and his momma is on the net looking dog stench removal recipes.
  22. The wallendas should get in touch with Joey. She's an expert without a net.
  23. I'd better look up Hilti and Ramset guns then....
  24. I don't build rods but I'd wager that you'd need to build MANY rods to offset the startup costs.
  25. There's a 7' Compre rod offered in the classifieds here....just listed.
