  1. Wow! That's my boat you have there. I have a 60hp 4 stroke Mercury tiller on mine and I can troll down to a crawl with it. Are you sure you need a kicker?
  2. I don't even waste my lobster in garlic butter. And yes "poor man's lobster" is a term originally coined for ling. There's nothing wrong with garlic butter unless you actually want to taste whats soaking in it. Is there anyone alive who has actually tasted escargots? Chicken wings were the last thing you ever ate on a chicken years ago (that's assuming anyone even kept them). Now everyone is eating them but garlic butter doesn't cut it for wings. For wings you need suicide sauce. Kids won't eat cereal anymore unless it's 95% sugar and comes in fluorescent colours. Folks will eat whatever is put in front of them as long as it looks presentable and tastes like something that they'd rather eat. Remember: It tastes just like chicken.
  3. Well if it's sound and offered at a reasonable price, check it out.
  4. Where did you find one of those, Brian? As far as I know they're a re-branded big name boat but very basic/entry level.
  5. I don't know why you should be surprised. Buying them a trampoline is criminal and you should be reported!
  6. That's beautiful! Good on ya for taking him out. Now put those pictures in a vault, they're priceless.
  7. Brian, to the best of my knowledge, you can search all of Canada for liens on real estate, vehicles etc... Unfortunately, Ontario, Alberta and BC don't have a classification for boat serial numbers. You might have to search by name of the original owner. I'd be interested in a definitive answer out of curiosity.
  8. Have a great day Paul.
  9. AHHHHHHH DSI, a haven for people, animals and Cottonelle.
  10. Really nice fish, Dan. What an impressive fishery.
  11. The short and correct answer is YES, you need a boater's card. Let's make clear however that this is not a license. There is no record of your holding a boater's card anywhere but perhaps in the books of the card seller who may or may not still be in business. You just need the card because someone may ask to see it. A boat license in Canada has to do with the boat and in no way affects the owner. This license is required for all vessels with motors of 10HP or more. The license is obtained through Service Canada and a number is issued to be affixed to the boat. This is mainly used for search and rescue.
  12. A real beaut Norm, WTG!
  13. A beautiful, peaceful time on the water with family. Dat's de life!
  14. Good going, Moe.
  15. A lot of Rapalas are made in Ireland but I believe the Taildancers are made in Estonia.
  16. WTG! You worked hard for those...you deserve them big time. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Don't get her a 2 piece. You already did that to her one piece and she didn't like it. Get her a St. Croix Premier PS60MF. It's the only 6', one piece, medium rod with a full cork handle at a reasonable price. My first choice for her would have been a Compre but they now all have split grips that she might not like. Oh and in the future, let her get her own snags out.
  18. Don't know why but this pic reminds me of the old RCA Victor logo. "His master's voice". Get that lil' feller up and healthy again.
  19. Wow! It looks as though you had a super time out there! Thanks for showing us the pictures.
  20. Gobies all over the Great Lakes are getting their pelvic fins clipped and going on to lead normal lives. All they have to do now is change their accent.
  21. That's a defused sculpin.
  22. Sorry Bud, I had to save 2 orphans and a nun from a burning house while you were posting.
  23. Can't see the fins on yours very well, Simon. It appears to be a sculpin though. Here's a drawing that'll help identify any others you might come across. And thanks Jack for keeping an eye on invasive species for us.
  24. Good point Dave.
