We stayed at lookout point also and Larry and Vicky were the bests hosts for sure ,, we only stayed on the main lake and we caught bass the other guys did pretty well there and caught quite a few walleye on main lake ,, we went out the first night and straight across from the camp on a point and caught are only walleye in first minute of fishing for our boat and that was it for our boat and the walleye ,we heard also the back lakes are great .

I would think ice would be off by then,,after all it is walleye opener weekend ,a couple of years ago we went to timmins -foyletet and we got snow big time,froze the whole week ,another time we left here burlington in shorts and stopped in new liskeard in a blizzard ,everyone looking at us like idiots.Just try and beat the black flies ,only time they were bad for us was at the french river,we are going may 26 for the week and booked already ,this is the earliest we have gone in the past few years ,trying to get everyones schedule together.I was suprised to get a booking that week ,usually we have booked by july for the next summer ,but got away on us this year and i thought we werent getting a group going next time ,but winter sets in and panic for next year starts and the interest gets going again,so we got it together this past week from the time i posted this to the other day,8 guys going ,one year we had 17 .Renting one boat so we will have access to back lakes ,looking forward to the spring now after having no snow to plow this year .. oh well it is coming this weekend.thanks for the suggestions and will post pics in june.. http://www.duenorth.net/shiningtreecamp

We are looking at shining tree area for our annual fishing trip this year, looks like a nice area and did a satelite of lake and stuff, any body been there and fished the area, we are looking at the resort that boat in only , any thoughts on this place or any other places there that you guys have stayed at.. thanks

I have used gas from 2 years old,, dont worry about it, i dont even use stabilizer,, you dont need it now a days ,they put so mcuh stuff in gas now,, dont put in car either, nowadays with all the electronics and sensors will screw it up for sure .use in lawn mower if anything or anything 2 stroke , or i will pick it up and use it next year if you are that worried about it.

It is a scam,, only sell to people directly from there,, where are they from russia,, usually that is what i get,, they want it immedietly and will give you instructions and a fake check ..

Yes he has a digital depth finder and that is about it. this is a 33 ft. searay..he is just setting it up and i told him he has all winter to figure it out ,.I already told him to check out radioworld..

I have a buddy of mine ,just got back into boating with a nice huge searay,, didnt come with any updated electronics,just a depth finder, he is looking into a laptop or something , i have a gps usb for laptop that i am going to give him that came with microsoft street and maps, i told him he could have that and see if he can get charts for his laptop or get a tablet, he doesnt want a fish finder kind of thing ,, just wondering what would be a good thing for him to get ,, any thoughts , i told him to go with laptop ,at least you can do other things with it ,for the kid and internet ,, and he can have that set up on dash and take home with him .. ??/

Anglers atlas has hotspots also,, but not many people will put there hotspot on ,, if you have to pay for that app ,not worth it,,and sorry why would you buy iphone, so once you buy it they come out with the next one ,what are they at iphone 5 ,rocky movies,, android way better,,,,

Buy a tarp from c tire ,, get some shrink wrap and just wrap it tight around, i have been doing this for years ,tarp ,15 dollars,shrink wrap 10 dollars,time spent 10 minutes ---priceless.

Watched fish tv today,, and they had a shot of a double rainbow and it was the same pic that i had when we were there in june 2010 ,exact same spot and pretty sure more than a coincidence ,so when i watched the show again ,when they showed the shots of lodge(we stayed at lookoutpoint camp right beside where they were at auld reekie) they had a boat going out ,i stopped the pvr and zoomed in ,, sure enough it was one of our boats going out.. good for a laugh..
