  1. I must have been busy with life, sorry I missed the post. Yer probably right, I don't always get it. Hehehe (my attempt to portrait no hard feelings).
  2. Didn't see a whinning smiley. Change your Avatar, I'm tired of hittin' the stop button. Hehehehe
  3. I would consider what it'll cost to replace components after everything gets limed up. Find out what average operating time will be before its all limed up and needs major cleaning or replacement parts. I've serviced several steam type humidifiers. Some have plastic canisters and they don't last the winter without problem, in certain water conditions. Steam is a great way for humidifying, but, but.....
  4. Open garage door. Vent products of combustion. Another case of misapplication of equipment. Infloor heat is the ultimate, but it's an existing garage. Pick a piece of equipment that vents products of combustion outside, then you'll be happy and healthier.
  5. Weekend @ Bernies I can see where the title comes from. Too funny. Surprised you're not being dragged around the ice behind some Honkin' Big Truck, hitting huts along the way. Nice report.
  6. Ya, I remember walking to school in -40° weather, in 2' of snow, and it was uphill both ways.
  7. When computer hangs up, try to select a C Prompt option (if available), if not hit F8 key while computer is starting to get into "Safe Mode", then select CPrompt. When C:\ shows up type in "chkdsk" then hit enter and wait to see what happens. It could fix problem and give you a report.

  9. Lew, well put. Kind of what I was thinkin', just couldn't think how put it in type.
  10. Sad news for sure. Makes one have lots of thoughts about those onboard. Wayne, my first thought was about "Bush Pilot", any word from him? Then I thought about "Moosebunk", flying to work, this time of year. Then I wondered, why it always seems worse that there was a tragedy in the air, than a tragedy on the roads?? This also makes me think about my daughter, working towards being a flight attendant. Oh well, can't dwell on it too much. P.S. hope my post doesn't end this thread, like it seems to do to others.
  11. Sorry cant' figure out picture thing, right now.
  12. I know the charity thing well. I canvas door to door ( some are a mile apart ) for a particular charity. When someone asks me to support their cause, I don't get upset, I just say I support particular charities only. Now, panhandling, conjures up an image of someone asking for money for something to eat. When I'm approached by one of these people, I ask them to follow my into the closest eating establishment and I'll buy them something to eat and drink. I usually don't have to cough up any $$, but some take me up on my offer.
  13. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Nice pictures. Haven't seen any from Moosebunk. LOL Too busy flying to work? I guess. I can just imagine that life gets in the way, sometimes.
  14. "Shoot, damn, fudge, crap etc." - NOT ACCEPTABLE! These are just replacements for foul language." "Stupid, idiot, shut-up, etc." - NOT ACCEPTABLE! These are demeaning and disrespectful." I agree with this. I even pulled out a Thesaurus, to give them other options.
  15. Careful, differences of opinion, could get you put on "Mod. Que". Dang, still a minnow!
  16. My last rainsuit was by Wetskins. I was wearing my suit when I was at the lakes edge doing dishes. Well, that "Boot Sucking Sauce" that's at the waters edge, sucked me in. We were camped on the Canadian Shield, it had been a wet day and I was wearing rubber boots and my rainsuit. When I finally stopped sliding in, I was upto my chest in the water. I won't go into details on how helpful, my buddies were. When I finally got myself back on shore, the only part of me that was wet, was a small area at my waist where my Buck Tool was. I nolonger have a rainsuit, but I do have a Raincoat, surprise, it's also made by "Wetskins".
  17. Yep, I recognize those picture. Seen them before.
  18. Well, is it 20? I'm not familiar with this new math thing. My best 3 years of high school were in grade 10. Dang, still a minnow!
  19. I've paid for stuff being shipped recently. I figure for the weight of a rod, $75 bucks will get it on the Space Shuttle! LOL. Although, the length will add some cost. Darn, still a Minnow.
  20. Haven't used a real good one in years, so I couldn't tell you much about where to get one today. A few years ago, we bought our daughter a nice ring for her BDay. Well it didn't quite fit and we were going to have it sized and properly fit, but she didn't have it for more than a couple of hours and she lost it, out back. Well, I knew Sears had these metal detectors in their toy dept ( on sale ). Bought it for $20, returned home and within 30 min., found pieces of old fence, etc. and BINGO, the ring. Gave the toy metal detector away, to a boy down the road and he spent days using it.
  21. Welcome, Perodimi. Fasten your seatbelt, OFC can be a turbulent ("a set of mischievous, turbulent rebels") place at times. PS. Just trying to become more than a "Minnow". LOL
  22. I've got my G2 fitters ticket. If your furnace actually has a cracked heat exchanger, I'd have to turn gas off also. Now, you just have to have confidence in the guy doing the job, that's the hard part sometimes. Hopefully he showed you the problem. You should get some estimates for replacement. Price sounds high to me, but what do I know. Sorry to hear that you're without heat.
  23. Sorry about your luck. PS. I've done good work.
  24. My handle pretty much describes my fishing.
  25. Does he smoke? If not, it's possible, he considers this his smoke break ( you know what I mean ). I go to a jobsite and after lunch there is one fella ( non smoker ) that reads a book for an additional 30 minutes. When asked why he's not back to work he says he's taking his smoke breaks all at once. Seems, pretty hard to argue with that. LOL
