+1 for Costco. I got one this past summer and it's been great so far. I just recharged it since havent had it charged in several months and it didn't even take that long to bring it up to full power again.
Youre not alone unfortunately. This winter was my first attempt at ice fishing, been out 5-6 times to 3 different bodies of water and nothing! Cant wait for summer!
I tried the Harbour twice in the last week hoping to catch pike which I thought would be moving in ready to spawn but no luck. Anyone had different resaults? or they're not there yet?
Thanks, yeah water was quite low in there, bearly any higher than it was in the summer. I was hoping the snow we had would help out a bit but I guess I didn't much.
Hoping to catch a few pike before the season closes in a couple of weeks. I've never fished for them pre spawn but heard it's a good time to get into some large ones. I tried the Harbour today for a few hours this afternoon but no luck. Coots seems like a good place for them to spawn but I wasn't sure of they can get thru the carp barrier.
I have a cottage booked for a weekend a week before the musky opener on Georgan bay and would be going for pike and walleye. I'd like to get into some trophy pike so using large lures should help. Could I get in trouble if I used say a (regular 3oz) Bulldawg or would a CO would assume I'm fishing for musky if he recognized the lure (with it being made by Musky Innovations and all)? I think other lures would be OK but little worried about that one.
I got my passport almost 5 years ago, I know that because I just went to the States and noticed that it expires in June. Will renew for sure esp if it will be good for 10 years. It was fast and easy and I dont know why someone wouldn't want to have one.
If you watch some of his other videos he said he was suisidal form like 7 to 18 and when he started he didn't care if he died...explains a lot. Still probably the coolest thing one can do.
I got winter tires last year. Are they worth it? 100%! My all seasons are half way down the tread and become VERY slippery even if theres very little snow. I live in an appartment building and seen people have trouple pullin out of their spot with all seasons. I haven't had those issues at all. Much better grippig and stopping power and thats with cheap snow tires from Walmart.
I might be going to London tomorrow and was wondering what are the ice conditions at Fanshawe lake? How think is the ice? Anyone been there lately? (I've never ice fished there before). I'm assuming it's well frozen over and should be still safe enough? If not I can always try the Thames river hopefully it's not murky?
Any help/info is appreciated.
