C'mon Canada! A Canada - U.S. final would be too cool. I could find a reason to be happy for both teams winning.

I know one of Randy's is from the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania. Howard Wagener caught it in January, 2002, wading from shore and it very well may have been the Pennsyvania record. He released it and I know where she swims.

I stay at Sandy Haven every year near the mouth of the French. I've never stayed at Lunge but I've heard great things about it. I don't think you'd regret booking there. As Gino said, that area is great fishing and there are big fish lurking there.

I love this thread. Hockey is the fourth most popular sport in the US (maybe 5th behind fishing). Hockey is religion up there. Watching my Canadian friends lose their minds is so much fun (reminds me of Leafs fans). Even though TJ has no clue, he may be right. This is only one game. This is going to be a great tournament and it's still wide open.

This is one of their first models. Great to fish from but there were some issues with the bolts holding and panels getting loose. I understand they've made some upgrades.

You can't go wrong up there. Bait selection will be very easy. Grab some Nipissing jigs or tie your own. Jig head with a trailer hook. Nightcrawlers will work just fine. They'll catch the eyes and the bass even an odd pike. Any traditional pike lure will catch them up there. They're everywhere. As for the muskies, don't get too wrapped up in them. They're certainly there but with two young boys, you'll spend ALOT of time looking for them with little action for the boys. You have to put your time in to get them in the boat. I've been staying near the mouth of the French for about 30 years and I've also stayed in the West Arm at Lakair and Sunset. You can't go wrong wherever you pick. Good luck. Here's mine, a SV GT 165. Even though I need a bigger boat, this one is perfect for fishing. I bring it to Canada every year. It's an '86 and it is one solid boat. Great in rough water and great to fish in. I have a 70 hp and a 9.9 kicker.

I'm around and I'm cranky because I can't get to Lakair this year. Keep it civil, so far it is.
