  1. Nice gloves.
  2. I'm not a big conspiracy theorist John and my belief is that people who use the Commisioner of any league (baseball, football or hockey) as a reason that specific games are officiated differently in order to favor a player or network media are looking for excuses. This game is played on the ice and not in the front office. The Habs, unlike their fans, don't need excuses. You hit the nail on the head with respect to this series. The Habs are the most efficient team I've seen in a long time. I cringe with every turnover. Combine that with the smoking hot goalie, it spells trouble for the Pens. The Pens lack of efficiency and absence of Sid may very well send them packing. I just hope Sid and Gino kick it in gear and they start finding the back of the net. Otherwise, I think I'll schedule a tee time for them next week.
  3. This is gonna be fun! This series is up for grabs. I still love hearing the 21,000 crybabies looking for a call when a Hab gets hit or whine when a clear boarding call is made. Get a grip people. I thought you knew how hockey is played. Are there enough tissues in Montreal to keep it up?
  4. Complain all you want about Sid but I guess it's a requirement of admission for 21,000 people to whine in unison as well. The Habs fans whine for a penalty everytime a Hab hits the ice. That game wasn't boring to this Pens fan and my guess is Habs' fans feel the same way. This series is going to be fun for all. I am getting very tired of watching the Pens dominate the offensive end for 75% of a game and still risk a loss. This series is a toss-up. Flower stood on his head and won that game.
  5. Absolutely sick!
  6. I don't think Mike is smart enough to doctor those pics. Not to mention, he's a cop and he's as straight as they come. I guess the ultimate compliment for a fish is to have someone doubt it's as big as it is. Congrats Mike.
  7. I hate to admit it but they are pigs. Mike isn't one to tell stories so I have to believe him.
  8. Can't swing it. I'm gonna miss you Coona$$e$.
  9. Quit whining Joe. At least you have the 'Skins.
  10. I'm trying to figure out the differences between Habs fans, Sens fans and Leafs fans. No matter how hard I try, I can't. I guess its the Canadian way that when you have a little success you think you're team is ready to win the Cup. I don't get it. Roy, we don't have a BPS here yet. I would love to help but I can't. Sorry. By the way, this is a Pittburgher: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT5eYEBwWH8
  11. On behalf of my fellow Pittsburghers, I would like to welcome the Habs to my fair city. Enjoy your stay. It's not gonna be the same result this time around.
  12. Poor Joe. I feel your pain . . . not! If there was any way I could pour salt in your wound, I would.
  13. I've often thought about Crudd. Wonder what he's up to. I was around for the original board. Some guy calling himself Muskiestudd helped me develop the muskie bug on the Upper French. So many upgrades I can't remember but I do remember the original board. The funniest part was that "he who has not been named" won TJ's first ever contest, an all expense paid fishing trip. That one burns. There are very few names still here from the early days, mostly because there werent' many members at all. It has been great fun watching this board grow and becoming such good friends with so many people from Canada. You know who you are. My 7 year old son has explained to me that he is moving to Canada when he's old enough. I just hope he has space for me in the boat. Thanks guys. Despite some of the crap over the years, this place is truly remarkable. I miss Canadave. He is truly one of a kind. Terry, where's the last supper?
  14. Nice post. It's nice to hear the good side of the industry. I had a horrible experience guiding a couple guys from another show on the Upper French a couple years back. Absolutely horrible. They were complete frauds and rip offs. Italo had his problems but it sounds like he's legit. Congrats.
  15. My God is this a great thread. However, due to my desire not to incriminate myself or the likes of TJ, Roy, Spiel, JP and a few more, I elect to remain silent. I will say that every story I could tell carries the worst hangover I ever had! Aw, here's a morsel:
  16. Nicely done. I take it the site isn't visible yet?
  17. .. . and have them for lunch?
  18. I guess we''re stuck with him here in Pittsburgh. He's a current Cup champ, he scored two game winners in the Olympics and his final goal will immortalize him. He sucks. Does anyone want my signed jersey? I'm going to throw it away.
  19. Figures it took a kid who now lives in Pittsburgh to bring home the gold. You Crosby haters crack me up. Two game winners (including the Gold winner) and you're still haters. He may not have scored a ton of goals but he put others on the doorstep throughout these games. He took alot of big hits too. He played very well. Congrats to the Team Canada. They deserved to win and I'm very happy for them. I'm very proud of the Americans. They weren't even supposed to medal. Now, when does football season start.
  20. Thanks for the reminder Coonie.
  21. Simple Fact: Team Canada's payroll is about $140 million. They should win. Simple Fact: Americans were picked to finish 5th in these Games. They should lose. Simple Fact: Pressure is on Team Canada. They were expected to win. Simple Fact: There ain't no simple facts once the puck drops.
  22. Canada's payroll is over $140 million. Wow!
  23. And it's done. This poll isn't going to happen.
  24. That was very cool to watch. CONGRATS!
  25. I probably speak for more than just myself (and my son) but because a big part of our lives involve spending precious time in Canada and having had the opportunity to befriend alot of the guys on this board, I'm in the position to have two rooting interests in these Olympics. In some of the events, we're actually cheering louder for the Canadian teams. I've really enjoyed watching these games. I've come to realize that the Winter Olympics are so much more enjoyable than the Summer Olympics. The risks these Olympians take with their bodies is crazy. USA vs. Canada is going to be a great event. I can't wait to sit back and enjoy everything about it. I will also buy anything that the hot Canadian female curler endorses.
