  1. I have the LUND gore-tex 2 piece rain suit which is the same just red in color and for $450 bucks its awsome and it has lots of pockets and a storm hood and you dont sweat like a pig ,like you do in a cheap rain suit,as well it is suprisingly light weight and has zippers on the legs and on the arms and a few inside pockets,so i think its worth every penny ....so good luck on your decision cheers
  2. ITS TO BAD THAT THEY DIDNT GET HIME BEFORE HE KILLED HIMSELF...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE HIM FRY IN THE ELECTRIC CHAIR...thats just a dam horrible thing that has happened, and all those inocent people that were killed, its a shame,my heart goes out to all the families and freinds that have lost someone in this trajedy, and i hope this never happens again, its becoming all to familiar, and is happening to many times...its just very sad when all those students still had almost their whole life ahead of them ,and to have their lives ended by this insane sick sot.....

  8. okuma reels are great ive been using the convector 35,45 salmon reels and they are great for the price and sure stand up to being used very hard the alumina is a nice reel as well and wont let you down they are comming out with very good products and i wouldnt hesitate to but another one at all...and gagnons in oshawa is a okuma dealer and so is tightlines in pickering...so thats my opinion for the reels and if they can last years with salmon fishing then they passed my test...cheers
  9. WOW...what an awsome fishing trip. ..thanks for sharing all your pics ,and that detailed report..thats a trip of a lifetime and you guys caught a ton of steelhead and had a blast doing it.man those fish had great colors to them, and were all very nice sized they must have all put up a great fight with all that current as well i sure wish i was there the scenery sure looks alot nicer than the creeks and rivers we have around here, and that river looks like it had a decent flow to it,no wonder its a number 1 rated steelhead river.. ..great trip thanks for sharing cheers
  10. Thanks for sharing, your report & pics, and man thats sure busy there...to many people for me well at least you got out for a few hours and did catch a few better than nothing i guess....cheers
  11. Congrats on the honeymoon thing. ..and im lucky as well my future wife loves to go fishing as well.and yes those PFD'S at bass pro are all certified and pass all the rules you are ok,you dont have to get them there they have lots at canadian tire and wal-mart has them as well...you must rent a boat on lake temagami, the fishing is great, and that lake has everything you want to catch and there is also huge lake trout there and walleye fishing is good to,so you might just want to fish there ...i sure would, well have a great time and hope you get info about the other questions you asked....cheers oh and you might want to PM irishfield thats his home turf,he will know about those lakes and where for brookies
  12. Well markd i think you already have your answers there, what i did on the same boat as you is had an aluminum plate made and it fits right on one of the sportrack holders that came with the lund,i made the plate to sit on top of the gunnel and it works great i can also slide my riggers along the gunnel on the siding sportrack, i just had it done a few weeks ago and it hasnt had a trial run yet but it feels so solid and those sliding tracks dont have any play so it fit perfect,by the way i have big-jons capt packs and its a 4x4 mounting plate and it fitsa perfect, and will not come off so now you have a few ways.waynes idea[irishfield ] is a great idea as well if you want them to be in 1 spot ...but you might want to utilize the sliding track as we did so that they can move up & down the gunnell....i will take a few pics maybe tommorow and show you....for myself my buddy thought of it and man it was just perfect...so it should work for you.....anyway just thought i would give you another idea...good-luck cheers

  16. Yes we always will keep a few smallies and largiesa few times during the summer but they are always from cold clear water in quebec or around the baqncroft area, the cold water keeps them nice and firm and fresh, but only a few times per summer i like other fish alot more that bass, like walleyes and perch and of course crappy,so its nice to see there are some of us that will eat bass, man some people would eat a dog or a cat before they would kill a bass, for whatever reason do people think that all bass have to be released...oh well thats the way i guess, and since so many are always being released in some lakes they say the size of bass are getting smaller, but then some ares are getting bigger and more bass than ever before.....cheers
  17. Yes it looks like its gonna be crappy again on sunday and monday... this wind and more wind is sure srewing things up. ..even the salmon arent acting like they should be right now,and lake ontario water temps are all over the place,so i hope things change soon, and get a little bit more stable thats for sure.....

  23. Hey wayne yes you are right fishlander has really come on strong and i know a guy who was running them last year and he liked them better than his big jons as well and were alot faster rigger..they also have a great selection of other products and they are making some great salmon lures and stuff.their riggers are also colored real nice and look very good,i have a silver/grey lund and my big jons look like they were ordered for the boat...cause they are aluminum so they match my boat perfectly...just thought that might help im not sure what color your new lund is...cheers
