WOW..Absolutely amazing !!!!! ..man thats another stellar report as usual,it sure is gods country up there,and the scenery & fishing seems to be,just incredible, thanks for the great read and all the hard work you put into your posts !!!!!!

Im always amazed at the number of fishermen & people who love being on the water that cant swim !!!!!!. ...i dont know that i would want to be on the water all the time if i didnt know how to swim...well at least its easy to learn,and more people should do it,its the best excercise you can get,it works all the muscles in your body all at the same time,and no other type of workout or excercise does that !!!!!....cheers

Nice catch !!!! and yes you dont have that happen to often,remeinds me of the time while using a poper while bass fishing in the petawawa river for smallies i caught a walleye he even broke water at the surface,he didnt jump just splashed alot, i couldnt believe it,oh well its a nice suprise when that happens,!!!....cheers

Do simcoe in the morning for whitefish & do the lake near barrie for walleyes & pike for the late afternoon bite until dark,the best of both worlds !!!!!....good luck and get out there...cheers

Yes we have caught a few of them on the mighty ottawa river,my buddy who is from deep river,and his father and grandfather have been fishermen & log drivers on the ottawa river since the turn of the century,and they kept trying to tell the MNR whos head office is in pembroke that they had caught a few small blue walleye,in the river,till they finnally kept a few and took them in to the office to be verified,and they were blues....him and myself have caught a few of them,but i have not caught one in about 10yrs,i will look for pictures i have they are on film,so if i find them i will post for everyone to see,i do think that they are still there,and for whatever reason they are only about 1-1.5 lb fish from what i remember...cheers

And nobody in the store is apparently a walleye fisherman as nobody knoew what a slow death hook was or who gary parsons & kieth keviech were from the next bite ??????.....but hey ernie we have all been there too,but im suprised you were able to control yourself and not jump over the counter and open up a can of whoop- on them !!!!!LOL..LOL.. but i think like i told you on the phone,i would have went straight to the store manager,and had a talk with him since guys like us drop more money in that store than what those too guys make in a year !!!!!! cheers bro

I bought one of those 6ft6" browning midas rods and tried it out this weekend walleye fishing and it is an amazing rod for the price,i think its just as good as my st.croix or my shimano compre,its worth the price for sure,i would buy another one in a heartbeat !!!! thanks for the info,i still havnt got my bps flyer yet...
