  3. Well check the marine forcast as theres a small craft wind warning out ,gonna be very nast winds tommorow,so be safe !!!! and oh ya welcome to the board, you should introduce yourself, and tell us about you,as it helps members relate to you and to meet people, and some maybe even in your area cheers
  4. I agree with lew,try salmon fishing for a few days straight !!!! awinging 12lb cannon balls & reeling in 400 ft of copper & wire line with dipseys & j-plugs ,as well as fighting 20lb + salmon all day...man the first few times i do it every year,it takes the arm & wrist muscles a few days to recover from that,....but maybe the man has a medical problem, like an injury or carple tunnel or something like that ??? either way i hope you get all healed up theres lots of fishing season left, get those muscles in shape bud !!!! cheers
  5. Well you should also base your decision on what kind of fishing you do,if you like to troll a 5-8hp would be just perfect, and if you had to do a portage with it,you wont have a heart attack while doing it !!!!!! read ernies post again i have been in his small 12fter and that 9.9 four stroke,is really big for that small boat and really heavy for it,so a 5 would still leave lots of weight for a tackle box,and all that other stuff and wont over weight it...well good luck...cheers

  19. Bags are the way to go,as they all have individual boxes that you can pull out instead of taking your whole tackle bag!!!! i have several for walleye, bass, panfish, muskies, trout and so on...that way you only need to take a few with you depending on what you are fishing for,and that alone will save you lots of space & weight too !!! cheers,i hope it helps

  23. Nice fishing trip/report wayne, too bad about not getting in to those spring lakers, and what a shame bout that big ole musky !!!! cheers
  24. I think lebaron has them,or try tightlines in pickering, and oh ya,canadian tire used to sell smelt nets,im sure they would still have them, and they should be starting in a few weeks, but the lake temps are still alittle bit behind so im not sure if that will delay them for a week or so,i will look into it and if i find out i will give you a shout !!!! cheers
  25. I tie all of my own as well, and try several different blades & bead colors as well as double blades & singles too,i let the walleyes tell me what works best, but my mainstay is a #5 indiana blade,in chartruese & silver with green or orange beads...and well theres the greatest muskie color harness ever invented and thats a red beads with 2 silver#3 blades !!!!! many of kawartha lakes muskies have fallen to that one !!!!! cheers
