my base mount radio is amazing,as well as not having a big boat,i have a 3ft antenae,with a power booster,its the same as an 8fter....!!!! port whitby marine can get them for you,just dont get the ones that are for sailboat masts they are way to whippy,and i have my antenae on a swivel,so it folds down along side my gunnel and isnt in the way of my boat cover, !!! it rocks

Yes for sure,all last summer fishing lake ontario,we seen tons of them,and alot still on the fish as we bring them overboard !!!!...i killed many with my fillet knife,and needle nose pliers....thats from cutbacks to the program,and if they dont start it up again it will be like the 80"s all over again where almost every fish had at least 1 scar,and i have seen some barley alive with up to 3 lamprays sucking them dry !!!! thanks to the cutbacks they are really growing in population again DAM !!!!!

THE ONE & ONLY...POCKET FISHERMAN !!!!!! i seen one for sale on e-bay a few months ago,never opened,brand new still in the box,and had a k-mart price tag still on it for $10.00 !!!!! the seller said it was his grandpas,and was bought for his retirement in 1975 or so......the bidding was at $50.00 bucks,i never did see what it finally went for,i think it had 3 days left so i bet somebody wanted it for his collection,behind his bar or something.LOL..LOL.. man the things they have come out with to catch fishermen !!!! man they did a good job didnt they

Great fishing pontoon boat man !!!! looks great,thats some great ideas you had there,how about a portable graph?? !!!!!that would be the icing on the cake for sure,so then you could be on all those lakes & rivers and know the depth,the weed beds as well as structure,then you would have it all....good work & job well done !!!!

Well you need a worm harness for sure !!!!. ..walleyes love them,but man oh man so do pike,put a berkley gulp 6" power worm on that and WHAMO !!!!! ....make sure the harness blade are silver and all the beads are red !!!!!try it man it will nail em...cheers & good-luck

Percher you got that right dan !!!!!...thats cause we fish lake ontario all the time,but even on lake trout lakes its amazing at the currents,and water density and even thick alge that can affect the speed difference from top to bottom,yes your boat on the surface maybe doing 3mph,but your lure down 85ft might only be doing 1.9mph it happens alot,so its for sure the most important thing big time,so we are just letting you know,and they vary in price,but its worth spending the money my unit is $1,100 but you know the saying you get what you pay for !!!! it will make a huge diffenece at the end of the day trust me

Well you sure can use the ATV,all year and my bud lives in bancroft and for a big part of the ice-fishing season he uses his quad,most of the times its perfect,and carries tons of stuff,and pulls the huts in & out so i think you will get much more bang for your buck getting a 4 wheeler !!!! they are sooooo nice too...cheers & good luck...get shopping

I make my own worm harnesses for eyes,and pink beads,with a silver purple indiana #5 blade,works great !!!! i have caught walleyes in clear,stained & gin-clear lakes with that exact combo,oh ya and pink and purple either one is a pretty darn good lake trout color as well,in the top 40ft of water, so theres a few options for you,as you can see lots of us use pink and purple...and king salmon just love purple too... .man the list goes on,just experiment with colors on & at different times of the day & in different conditions too !!!! cheers

Well the phone rang at 4:45am this morning from a metro toronto cop and his partner on rutine patrol,they found my car at a tim hortons just west of midland ave,and kingston rd.....sitting in the parking lot,all locked up and no keys to be found !!!!!....they said it appears to be not smashed up or anything,and said that things are strewn about inside the car....and my first question was is my GPS,on the dash...and of course they said NO...DAM !!!! so they will be getting it towed to the impound garage so they can do fingerprints,and stuff,then i guess it goes to get a key made for it from a dealership,and then i get it back !!!! so we wont know too much till then if theres any damage or what was done to it,so now i hurry up & wait till i talk to the adjuster this morning sometime...but man im suprised that they found it so fast,job well done to torontos finest !!!! like the cop said to me on the phone this morning they had enough of a joyride,and wanted a coffee,before the split...he said tim hortons,all over the place is a popular spot for thieves to dump vehicles,in the parking lots ,so thats been quite the 24hrs,LOL..LOL. now when i go back to work i might even pass whoever did it right in the hallway and not even know it !!!! man im ticked about that for sure,well its not over yet so maybe i will have a lucky break and they can still nail the S.O.B !!!! thanks for all the helping words from everyone,you guys are great,thanks shawn oh ya i might need a ride to scarbro,anyone heading in there from the shwa !!!??

Well i have the hawk 840 thermo-troll,and it measures speed & temp at the ball,WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT !!!! just wondering why you wouldnt want the speed sensor as well,the speed from the surface to your lure can vary greatly,and DOES UP YOUR CATCH BIG TIME !!!!way more than with just temp itself !!!!.and yes they are not cheap but its a very accurate unit,and is wireless,and is basicly a graph,its top shelf equipment

Well all was going good today till 3:30pm when my day shift was over,and looked for my car keys,that wernt in their usual spot,and guess what they were not there !!! so im thinking that my co-workers are playing a joke,and a few of them try to help me find them,so i decided to walk outside to the parking lot,and low & behold,my car isnt right outside our boiler room door in the custodial parking space,so now im saying ok guys wheres my car !!!! well everyone is promising me that they didnt move it or anything,so we search around the building and yup its gone !!!!!....so up to the front office and we start to check the outdoor survalence camera,and we have it narrowed down to 12:46pm,and 12:48pm in the 2 mins it took for the camera to sweep the parking lot,it was gone !!!!!!as it takes up to 2 mins to pan back & forth !! so after calling the police & insurance company,we tried to figure it all out and it seems that a student or who knows else went in to our lunchroom,and took my keys and stole my car....with so many people at a big high school its hard to keep an eye on everybody,even the cameras in the halls didnt pick up anything out of the norm,so we just dont know,our lunchhroom door is usually locked if we are out and about,but if we are in & out for a few mins it sometimes isnt, we just dont know right now,so now its just hurry up & wait for the police to hopefully recover my car,i hope all my stuff is still in there,my GPS,my boat keys,cd"s,rod & reel in the trunk,my new trailer-jack,my fishing glasses,my back medicine,along with other items,i even had fishing lures hanging in the car !!! LOL..LOL.. a typical fishermans car for sure,flashlights,and tons of stuff....so wish me luck,and i hope to be back to normal real soon....man what a crappy st patricks day to me !!!!! so yes im a little ticked oh ya its a burgundy 1998 pontiac grand-am se,4 door,with fishindevil decals on it,with a shimmano,decal too.if ya see it pull a citizens arrest !!!!LOL..LOL..LOL.
