Well at least you didnt get skunked,too bad about the line breaking off,it always figures when you are the farthest from home,and when nothing is open,or no stores around !!!!!!....and then to top it off,mother nature decided to through you some crap weather,well its all part of fishing thats for sure,we have all been there done that !!!!....nice pics too....cheers

Man thats great fishing for sure !!!!...its too bad that there very few areas where you can still do that,and catch fish all the time,of course i mean whithout driving 20hrs north,of the GTA !!!!!...well most of the kawartha lakes were like that,i remember when my grand parents owned riverside lodge in bobcaygeon,and my grandad rented out boats and was a guide many years ago and thats what it used to be like....too,bad but im glad alberta has got the idea,and does the right thing,they should impose a slot limit for fish over 23inches and be mandatory release,so the spawners get to do it again & again & again !!!! and besides a 6lb,er tastes like crap anyway,thats why everyone should have a camera,its so easy

I saw a dead carp floating in whitby harbor this afternoon !!. .and i did hear of dead carp in simcoe,and a few being in rice lake,but that was about it,maybe whatever it was that killed them has not been eradicated from the lakes maybe the virus still lives or wasnt killed off,over the winter ????. we might have the same dieoff as we had last year again?? i hope not

Well my magazine arrived today !!!!...and its cool,im glad i had the chance to take bob fishing,and that we had a blast and caught lots of fish !!!!!!i spoke with him last night and he wants me to take him for a walleye fish as well,so hey you never know.....from what i heard up until a month ago they wernt sure what it was going to be named,because we were fishing so far out aprox,10-12 miles,and us salmon guys refer to that area as the "blue-zone" cause when you are that far out all you can usually see is blue water,cause most days you cannot see land !!!! so enjoy the article,it was lots of hard work....cheers thanks to ontario out of doors !!!!

Yes guys the upper bay is really hot right now,with great catches of nice fish in the 3-5lb range being caught,just wait a few weeks when the shad get stacked in the bay and it will be just like lake erie!!!!!.....cheers

Well i havnt seen it yet,but its about summer salmon fishing,i took out bob mgary one of the senior outdoor writers at ontario out of doors magazine,out fishing in my boat last year,we went 10-13 miles out salmon & trout fishing and had a blast,we didn an extensive interview,and he took lots of pictures,and we caught some real nice cohos & rainbows as well as a few salmon,i think its titled fishing in the blue-zone dog days of summer salmon...or something i cant wait to check it out....cheers

Thats right,like the member said 80 rms is nothing,and another thing i havenever heard of that company,and as well 450watts is nothing either,what about if it breaks down where do you get parts,i think you should take it back and get a lowrance or eagle,or humminbird....cheers by the way no offence i just want you to be informed.....if you need help on getting a decent unit,for a few hundred let me know,i can give you some models to look at and you can go to thier websites and check them out as well

Great report lew !!!!...sounds like you did ok,for only fishin a couple of hours,sure is a great way to spend fathers day out chasin muskies !!!!...and funny you should say that last week just hours after a thunder storm i was walleye fishing on scugog and i hit 3 small muskies all under 30inches or so,they were very agressive thats for sure,maybe thats a pattern to remember that after a t-storm head out for some musky fishing and they might be very active....i think i will try it again....cheers
