  4. like the one i read a few months ago it said: drive down hill whenever possible, and avoid going uphill !!!
  5. and yes i have caught many muskies and pike on them, but like the other poster said...some you will win some you will lose!!! at least having those lines i use helps alot for that reason...specially if you are running bouncers like i usually do...
  6. i ues 14lb trilene xt !!! or 12lb trilene big game...tried everything else, and seems to hold up the best from nicks and stuff caused by zebra mussels !! floro will cut too easy, and braid will shred, and some other lines either have too much stretch or not enough....been tying theses since my granparents owned the fishing lodge in bobcaygeon, when i was about 10yrs old!!!
  7. ya hudro must be feeling guilty for all the acidental releases of heavy water that happens alot every year!!! pickering just had one a few weeks ago!!! or all the dams they have made and blovked fish migration,or the recent thousands of miles of flooding they did up near hudson bay damming up pristine rivers....the list goes on and on!!
  8. done!!! good luck let us know what happens...cheers

  11. gnoddy i have a 40hp merc efi on my lund, and when you get this sorted out just a hint i have been running castrol syntec 10w 30 synthetic since day one in 2006,,,,and no problems when mine was new it didnt do that for sure...and i do tons of trolling on my engine!!! hmmm... let us know please
  12. pretty much what dave said!!! round is a deep lake,180ft i believe, there is a small island out from the park on the left...did well for bass there, and yes big trout and walleyes but they can be very difficult to catch at times, water very deep, and clear...and cause its round and no real area for shelter...the lake can get very, very rough,so be careful depending on what size boat you have, round lake center will have your bait, and gas...good launch ramp...and a very nice park to be in have fun!! they also have maps of the lake there for you as well...cheers
  13. ok first off...there is severe walleye restriction in effect in the ottawa river till june 15th!!! read the regs, and i have fished the ottawa river for over 20yrs...and yes its stained, and stuff, but why do you think the fishing is as good as it is....oh well nuff said...cheers read the regs before you go as right now you can hardly keep any size fish till june 15th.....maybe someone will post the reg s for the ottawa river thanks
