  1. Dan, I have an old friend who did it with his dad, each night they would go and have a taste! It never made it to the bottles he told me. I used to cure olives in one of those crocks, still have it.
  2. I helped promote Ontario to our southern friends for nearly 24 years. They were probably 75+ percent out our target audience. Nothing would please me more to see our American friends come and visit. But lets be careful, it could turn on us. Our cases are going down and vaccinations have started. I would say hold on and see what happens. There will be a lot opinions on this. Canada has had it almost under control since the beginning. We in Ontario have followed the rules I hope. I have along with my family. Last year I had to cancel a cruise out of FT Lauderdale. Hopefully this will work out by the end of summer.
  3. Where you get 2%? The Italian bank? how you doing John D, you are missed here. I just got over fractured ribs, three months. I was never better working for 50 years.
  4. Death and taxes comes to mind. They will get us sooner or later. I will attempt to do my driver and heath card soon. Hey, maybe they will cancel income tax returns 🙈😂😇
  5. Clarification ‘yes’ you can run out there Terry but if the ice is thin that pressure will do you in. Walk slowly and carry a spud. Better to take Brian out with you.Have him test it. They also have no ‘clause’ on portable fishing huts. I would think that the “you are too $&#$#& close distance fishing rule will be good. One good open-water cast away is fine. keep safe
  6. happy Birthday DanD. Yes family is important. I had milestone last year and did nothing . . At Christmas one of my daughters gave me a lifetime gift that they all had planned and paid for. A hardcover book of my life in pictures, mostly important dates and a lot with them (4 girls) and their kids, family holidays etc. I was lost for words. Where they dug up the pictures is beyond me. But I always had camera with me and took thousands. I’m going to finish it off with my Typograpghy Journey I have written (52 years). I will burn a DVD and put it on the inside front cover. Many more Dan.
  7. There is also a large bird looking for lunch!
  8. thanks for posting Dan good to know. have they not tested this stuff before putting into use?
  9. Can’t go wrong advice with a guy who flies planes, sorry Wayne!
  10. Some smooth velcro on the arm would solve that.
  11. nice one Dan. Could be a “social distancing” apparatus on Simcoe. Call it covfish.
  12. mine is connected to the “cold” line that goes to the water heater!
  13. NO arguments needed, I agree with you. My first time that I have answered to your post. Sorry, Apluma but we are bombarded with opinions from both sides. We are doing a lot better up here and hope to keep it that way. Everyone of us as an opinion, that is a democratic right for us all. My family follows what we are expected to do and will follow what our leaders say. So far we have not been affected by following the rules. My hope is that this will come to an end and we can all work together no matter what are political beliefs are. “It is about survival”, and for me seeing my children survive and their children. Keep well. This not may go over well but then democracy is what our parents fought for.
  14. Why do you need one? You are a smoker? we preserve all sorts of stuff and don’t use one!
  15. Seacore in Woodbridge sells them. They are located at Weston Rd and the 407.
  16. Here is a business kindness. We have a fresh pasta store, family owned which we support. We buy pasta sheets; my wife used her card to pay for it $8.77. we get home and we get a phone call from them after they did a search that they had charged her $877.00 !!! All well they contacted the card company and they adjusted the amount. On our next visit we all laughed at the matter and when they issued the receipt we made a point to make sure it was was correct. Clients for 30+ Years. will never use anyone else. Their fresh pasta is the best, along with imported goodies. $30 feeds 18 and lots of leftovers.
  17. We brought up four girls with one income, there was almost never a do you deliver night! we make everything at home from jarred tomatoes to our own cured pork products. I make my own wine and have been for 40+ years. Always keep a well stocked pantry from specials or buy in bulk. Today’s kids are a bit different want stuff prepared for them. Advertising (which I was/am in) sold that idea. Fisherman, we have NEVER had a TV dinner! they still sell that crap! if in pinch; broccoli rob (Rapini) in frying pan with garlic and a few hot red pepper 🌶 flakes and on a hot plate of pasta. About $2.00 for four.
  18. Cliff your kindness and perseverance will be repaid eventually. I too found a package in my mail box last month, street behind me, rang the bell no one came but there was a car in the driveway, left it on a chair.
