Any suggestion for Ancaster/Hamilton Mechanic?
ketchenany replied to Raycaster's topic in Non-Outdoors Open Discussion
Good advice Dan. I gave up my trade (Typography) in December after 50+years. What I was taught and also taught other is no longer valid with technology and buttons. No skills at all, today ads last seconds on a phone. My work lasted months if not years in print form in magazines or newspapers. When I open a paper from the 70s and one today, there is no comparison. We came from a different era. In my case, I’m in the works with a few others across Canada building a website and archiving those days and artefacts. As for cars, looks like they are only made to last so long. No more driveway repairs I did. hard to find a dipstick today. Lol -
Enjoy Cliff!

That’s great. Dan, I have four daughters and they all have kids 1-13 (10) they donate all of the outgrown clothes and anything else others can use. My wife has been donating to CP for 30+years. Nothing has ever gone in the garbage.

Yours B, are “organic,” made locally with lots of TLC, and a cold one. Field tested by many satisfied fishers. Well worth the extra cost.

good for you Dan. 🙏❤️❤️❤️

Here we go, 2 for $7 is coming. 🤣

Dan, there is nothing better than seeing a child succeed, even better to follow in your footsteps/knowledge. I was successful typographer in ad agencies, one of my daughters took marketing and is doing very well for herself. At one time she worked where I had preciously been. When she got hired I received an email from vice president: I she one of yours! , she is well known in the business as was I. At one point a client had left our agency, in the onboarding process I had to consult them and she was included in the conversations, in her comments on conversations she always referred to me as Mr Macchiusi, never dad, lol. She is now client side and the agencies are her clients. all the best for your son Dan, he has had good guidence.

Now they are saying another 10 up on Sunday!

What happened to 2 for $5.00 deal? 🤣
-
I thought the same thing. Eventually you have to refill it. Hopefully they come to their sense and we can go back to normal.
-
They say up 2 tonight and possible, possible 11 on Thursday. 680 news has posted 6 on Thursday. summer driving is not looking good for now. 😞
-
May need a boat to get there.

Two tons of sand and a heat lamp in the yard sounds safer.
-
We filled at the same date and had the same amount but went and filled it last night, good for at least another month. 1.48.9 last night.

680 news has a gas information guide and they say +2 tonight but that is just for tomorrow. it will eventually go up more. This does not look good.
