  1. Cliff, got nothing from both shots. I have had a flue shot for the last 30+ years and they NEVER said what brand it is. NOW we have this idea that one is better than the other. Which is probably the reason why some people are not getting it. Yes some people do get reactions and some have lost their lives. The lives saves outnumber those situations. Hopefully clinical studies show that we only have to get it done once. Our leaders should prepare and learn that this may not be the last. canada should build our own facilities to manufacture PPEs and vaccines and not depend on other suppliers. Like saving for a rainy day which always comes. keep well.
  2. Irish had all of those, and the wife for back up just in case . BTW people collect “tubes’ I have about 5 or 6, never used in package.. And if you have the drugstore tester consul model you have small fortune. collect my friends, I collect anything coins, cameras and type stuff. Lots of advertising I built in the 80s . . . Keeps the grands interested on what I did with my life. I look back at history in my office. Here is one the grands love on our walk. just like Lew I like getting out with nature close by

  4. Grow your own! https://gardenerspath.com/plants/herbs/summer-savory-tasty-herb-kitchen-garden/
  5. I never attended but I did donate prizes to the cause. Lew was so impressed with ice fishing he never did it again.
  6. JD, I was forced to leave work because of the virus, company declared bankruptcy. After almost 50 years in the advertising industry, I was at home! Made the best of it, no more driving to work . . . built a home office, my passion with typography connected with my old friends and got some leads, not that I needed them, but after all of those years I wanted to keep my feet in. My feet are in, nothing to write home about, but it still lights up my email with prospects. I have devoted my knowledge on the past, I’m working on a website to preserve Canadian Typography History. To me now, this is my goal, and it will happen soon. To all of us who have had long careers, we are fortunate and hopefully our young ones, will follow us. Lew, Irish, Cliff and many others that I have contacted, you know what i mean. keep well my friends. Lets pass it on. Our kids need our guidance. A
  7. I would like some photos of their Isle displays regarding the Olympic grocery giveaway campaign. I loved working on the project but have none close to me to see my results. If you can help I will thank you in advance. they will be isle fins and other signage on certain select products, COKE . . ., You can Enter to win, it won’t hurt. ONE year worth groceries. You can’t miss it. pm me the photos if you get any. Happy shopping Albert
  8. Norm and the big B, be careful, this could affect your heart rhythm! You are fishing for the wrong fish! but what ever makes it tick, enjoy.
  9. I have use NUAIR Mechanical, Dario is a great guy to deal with. Replaced my furnace two years ago and tuned my A/C last year. Cleaned the fins and charged it. they are located in Vaughan.
  10. Because! The naturals break easy and they come in huge lengths. have to tie both ends . . . The one I use are just like the natural. For me they are a foot long salami size and already tied on one end. Soak in warm water and good to go.
  11. I get mine here, but don’t use natural for my cured meats. https://canadacompound.com Hwy 7 / Weston Road area
  12. We need a bigger and lighter battery! No more row, row your floatie!
  13. Sink, to me it’s a tax grab. BUT in Europe it’s worse. TV tax . . .wait until they hear about that one. And driving to downtown and get charged. Oh wait we have the 400 tax highways we have already paid for and they sold it. lots of back roads we can use.
  14. Who knew! All I have heard of is VC, as in Stradivarius. 🎻
  15. One of these days I’ll post picture of a coin my dad found in a tree cavity in the 50s. A papal scudo from 1634. I found it in our family homestead in 1967! It was written up in the Toronto Star. i wrote the article and was paid $50.
  16. JD too bad we can’t sit and have a glass of vino and some supresata and just talk. He still has his boat and does fish with his son and brothers. Many memories for sure on my part. i did make them an espresso.
  17. Years ago I went to a local fishing supply shop local and friendly. Hwy 7 and Islington; ‘Fishing Stuff’. They were great people, all family. They sold us bait at all hours and loaded my reels. They ran it 24/7 seven day a week. The family that ran it also worked other jobs. They finally closed 20+ years ago due to the long hours. Well it all comes around, my brother was redoing his tiles and I also needed some done and we were introduced, masks on. . . This morning they showed up, small job set up in the garage for power. . . he sees my fishing pictures on the walls and my fishing rods and lights went on. We have a common interest!!!! He was the guy who was the owner of Fishing Stuff! As he said you do look familiar! What a blast that was. he has kept the loading line machine and loads of reels and parts and a lots of other stuff. I was shocked, he is the next door neighbour of my brother’s daughter who she put us onto him! My highlight of the week for sure.
  18. i found something in my mailbox too! i worked for a place for 21 years, one year ago they folded, our client cancelled their advertising contract. slowly but surely they have made due with severance payments and today #2 arrived. One problem, the CRA wants it eventually! A thing called income taxes passed during WWII to help the war effort and would be rescinded once over! Did that happen? Irish, good score! Now they know where you live! :)
  19. JD ities never pay full price. I know about a chap here that makes them at home, and believe me I have eaten them. he makes them to order and clears a huge amount! There was a market north of Bolton I rook my dad, veggies and stuff. he also had hundreds of rabbits running around, not for sale! I stopped in years later and NO rabbits! But a huge selection of his Calabrese goodies. Spent close to $100. Asked about the rabbits. Government said not if you make this stuff. All inspected. If you can eat it do. I make my own 38 this year. But when the kids show up two are always gone.
