  1. According to the to Guide Eating Ontario Sport Fish – Page 12 . . . Clams Although freshwater clams are often readly available in many Ontario water bodies, it is advised that they are not consumed. Clams are filter feeders and therefore they are usually low in chemical contaminants, but for some reason, they can harbour harmful bacteria and other pathogens. If they are not suffeciently cooked, they may cause health problems, such as food poisoning. Hope this helps.
  2. Aren't trees out of season?
  3. For a project that I did a while back (using a camera case) There was foam inside that was partially cut into small "squares" . . . and depending on the shape i needed I would pull out the amount of squares and then rest my object inside the hollowed out portion. A good camera store will have blocks of this stuff. If you pm me your home/office e-mail I'll send pictures; a bit big to post and I always have problems anyway.
  4. I'm sure that if there was any chance on you getting out to help you would, but it's better to be safe and to put more lives at risk. Hope it turns out well.
  5. FLEX, go to Jane street, just south of the 401 on the left hand side if you are going north on Jane, but it's salmon roe.

Never fished the region and was wondering commom lures that would be used when targetting bass laker etc. It's a siummer thing so no ice stuff. Nothing too big in the 3 to 5 inch range. I'll be here until 4 pm. Thanks

  19. Welcome to the board. I have a publication/map (looks like a folded map) that was done by Durham Tourism (1998). It has all of the spots and types of fish species with illustrations and type of food they like, lures to use and peak season etc. very comprehensive little guide. I've had it for years because of my tourism connections. I'm not sure if they still have them but it's worth a try, If you want to contact them here is the info Tourisn Durham PO Box 623 Whitby ON L1N 6A3 Tel 905 723.0023 or 1800.413.0017

  21. Well I've been a typographer for 40 years. In 1993 I got into the advertising end of it and have worked on some great accounts Lexus, MacDonalds, Harvey's Sleeman, GM etc; for the last 10 years it's been mainly Ontario Tourism and the Bay. My daughter followed me and she works on TV spots for Canadian Tire. But every two years or so I also bring you Guide to Eating Ontario Sport Fish.
  22. My deepest condolences Lew.
  23. Glad to see you back! Leave it alone, it will eventually melt.
