I have a brand new jiffy 30 auger still in the box in the garage where it has been for 2 years.I picked it up for 1/2 price end of season. It has never been out . Is it okay staying like this until i use it or should i take it out,and start it up,then summerize it. really thought this was the year I get to use it.

well i think the spring steelhead season will be a bust. With no snow pack for run off and all streams ice free the spawn should be done well before the opener,a buddy who lives in goderich says there are already fish on beds in the maitland. Any fish left in the river systems come opener will be beat up, and few and far between with low water conditions. Also the bug season should be prime with little to no winter kill,I can hardly wait for that spring trip to nipissing with the black flies in may.

i am really hoping the leafs just squeek into the playoffs so Wilson gets to keep his job. I also hope they trade away some youth like,Colbourne,Gardiner,Grabovski, Kadri,to pick up some overrated player like say Nash or Carter just to make the playoffs. I would also like to see them sign Dion to a nice long extension as well as their current goaltenders

Restoule, great park , great waterfront sites, good fishing ,musky, bass, walleye, pike, lakers and whitefish. Clear and Stormy receive little pressure in july and august, mid september should be even less traffic. If you would like any info on what camp sites are best electric sites on the water just ask I have been going there for 23 years now and have stayed on them all. Right now I am booked there last 2 weeks in july on one of the best electric water sites.

Erie ,PA fishing and outdoor stores??
bow slayer replied to bow slayer's topic in General Discussion
thanks for all the replies. Got to check out a few stores. Wish i could have had more time to shop around. There are some beautiful streams right around the erie area that look like they would be excellent trout streams...wish i could of brought some gear and drifted a few...but it was after all my daughters hockey tourny. -
i saw a dead one on highway 69 right near six mile lake 2 summers ago,yes i am sure it was one I have seen a few in michigan.

I will be in Erie PA for the weekend starting tomorrow for my daughters hockey tournament(seems wrong leaving the hotbed of hockey canada to go play in a tournament in Erie Pa) just wondering if anyone could point me towards a few outdoors or fishing stores in the area? thanks

anyone want an older polaris snow machine cover
bow slayer replied to bow slayer's topic in General Discussion
London area... -
I have an older polaris cover that will fit a late eighties up to mid 90s polaris snow machine. It was used on an older trail but would fit any of the older 500s as well. It is well used condition but it is better than no cover and the price is right...free.

we did the same when our 3 were 8,5,and 2 at the time. The 2 boys one 8,the other 2 were to be 6'3 and 6'1 . the girl was to be 5'8. Well now the oldest is 17 and is 6'2 and my daughter at 14 is at 5'6.5 so pretty close but both were late bloomers so there is still a chance to be dead on. The youngest is only 11 so it will be awhile yet to see but i think it will be very close also.

you could try parking in Callender along the water and walking out .There is usually parking at marina and beach and you won't have far to walk out by the lighthouse. If you are feeling ambtious enough you could also walk out to the group of huts out in the middle of the bay.

we purchased a used vehicle warranty a few years ago on a ford explorer for about 1700 that was a bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years or 80,000 ks.After a about 4-5 months the front end needed to be basically replaced at a cost of 1600. It cost us 50 bucks. Over the course of the warranty we had about 6500 dollars worth the repairs done and mind you there were times the warranty company was hard to deal with but we made a good investment. On the other hand on a more recently purchased minivan we again paid 1500 for a 3 year warranty (only powertrain) and never had a claim in 3 years,so we looked at it as piece of mind for 500 dollars a year for any major repair.

Shopping for a new SUV, info and opinions please.
bow slayer replied to krawler's topic in General Discussion
also to add my wife and I rented a brand new (only 20 kilometers on it) Silverado for a weekend, let me say this what a piece of crap the f150 has it beat everywhere ride, handling comfort. There is a reason gm holds down 4 out of the top 10 spots of worse reliability list. I have always been a gm guy and I still own a 1987 buick Grand National I bought brand new but it will be the last in my drive way. -

my father has had a f150 with the eco boost for about 6 months now and loves it no complaints ,gets a new f150 every 2 years and says this is the best one yet. He drives london to North Bay twice a month and says he gets 30mpg. He also pulls a 4000lb trailer with it and again says it does the job perfectly. -
get a couple bars of irish spring soap (original)dice it up and place in disposal plates or bowls and place through out boat in several areas. Also bounce dryer sheets work excellent also. Same thing just place them through out boat stuff them where ever you can. I have been using these for several years on my boat and tent trailer and have never had an issue. Someone told also to put moth balls on the ground surrounding the boat.

stopped in at the Columbia outlet store in Windsor on the weekend and they have all their PFG clothing on clearance,an addtional 30% off the already sale prices. Lots of short and long sleeve shirts, pants . They also have a great deal on columbia vest reduced to 20 bucks from reg 99. I picked up the Columbia wading jacket reg 169 for 62 bucks. So if you are in the area and need some wear check it out.

Pautzke's "Balls O' Fire" Salmon Eggs

don't waste your money on the jarred stuff. most trout stream area baitshops will carry both tied fresh roe bags and loose roe in bulk that you can tie yourself.Much more productive then any jarred roe.
