samsung and Panasonic are the only 2 i would be looking at. Check online reviews and consumer reports they all have Samsung and Panasonic 1,2. Just talk to guys at some of the smaller retail places, not future shop or best buy. Samsung makes LCD and Plasma screens for almost everyone else including sony. And yes save your money and stay away from 3D.....for now anyways. check out the link http://reviews.cnet.com/best-high-definition-tvs/

huron beaches are no more cleaner than Pt.Stanley, large hog operations in huron county have led to increased e-coli levels on many beaches in huron county. http://environmentaldefence.ca/articles/blue-flag-coveted-rating-evidence-lake-erie-much-cleaner-now-years-past

NF - What vehicle do you use to tow your boat, trailer, etc?

I thought the Terrain was a 4 cylinder. -
Port stanley if you are in the south end of the city...only about 25 minutes away.....but with kids I would go Little beach there instead of the main beach, usually a little calmer if the lake is rough, plus Port has Mackys on main beach for some grub. Grand Bend is a good beach but alot more traffic and people.Plus you have to pay to park. Port Glasgow also has a beach that seldom has many using it.

have not pier fished or even trolled the river mouths in years but back when we did, ping A Ts,canadian wigglers(jointed green or silver),cleos(blue/gold,green/silver hammered finish),AC shiners and quikfish(green or skunk) all worked well.

My dad has a F150 with the eco-boost,has had it for over a year now with about 30 k on it and loves it. He gets a new F150 every 2 years and says this is by far the best one ever. And he swears it is true about the 30 miles to the gallon highway stat. -

I have a 2009 ford Explorer with a V-8,love it pulls the 16 ft starcraft with a 70 4 stroke and a 2600lb tent trailer no problem from london to north bay. Gas milage is not the greatest but hey.... -
Camping and rain just dont add up to alot of fun. A few light showers is one thing but heavy downpours are another. Even if you manage to tarp and keep the site and tents fairly dry there is always the dampness which can make sleeping bags and clothing feel wet. If you have electricity on your site bring along a portable electric heater,it will do wonders to get rid of the dampness in the tent. Personally if it were me I would probably cancel and try to re-book another weekend, but then I have gotten soft over the years and I now camp in a tent trailer with a furnace and add -a-room so rain is not as much an issue anymore, and when it is raining we usually watch a movie on a laptop or play cards. Good luck this weekend, hopefully the forecast changes.

if you fish the oxford st. bridge area it is good for smallies and the odd pike. Gibbons Park area also has some good water for smallies. Below the dam at Fanshawe you can catch a real mixed bag of pike, bass and walleye. The dam beside Labatts can also be good at the right times of the year.

yes,but it is more closer to purple, usually after eating half a jar. The wife is doing some as I post.
-
Dave if you want PM me and I can answer any questions you have,I have been vacationing there in the park since 1988,have fished the area hard and could help you out. I actually just got back last sunday from spending 2 weeks camping in the park. I am sure i could put you on some walleye, smallies and some very large muskies as well

How do you Import boat/trailer from the USA
bow slayer replied to rdambros's topic in General Discussion
there is no tax payable on a outboard only on the boat, thats why you get seperate receipts for boat, trailer and motor. Place as much value as you think acceptable on the outboard and only pay HST on boats value. -
sounds like the motor is sitting too high on the transom,as the boat planes the bow drops the transom rides higher and the motor sits to high to draw in water...my buddy had the same problem a few years ago,

wow 13 bucks a dozen.....i am leaving next week for a hoilday and i primarily use leeches anyone know the price in the North Bay area?
-
If you can find one look for an older scanoe from coleman(ram-x),the ones with the aluminum frame and gunnels. These things are tanks can take a beating are very stable on the water and are great for fishing out of. The downsides are that they are heavy and are not the best for paddling in but they are ok. I have one with 5 hp nissan on the back, but i also use it for just paddling.

Been down this road twice ,this has happened to both me and my wife. Both were at our jobs for 17 years when it happened.Just thank god it did not happen at the same time. We are both lucky because we both landed jobs which we are better and happier at.Just keep a positive attitude and things will work out.

what i did when i bought privately was the price was 12,000,the bills were broken down as such the boat 3000,the trailer 1500,and the motor 7500. Therefore i had to pay tax on the boat and trailer no tax on the 7500 for the motor. Have the bills made out so motor has as much value as not to pay taxes but be reasonable about it.
