  1. well most people she has talked to have tried to steer her away from it,she works a couple hours a week at a ford dealer and most are telling her to stay clear, even thou the van has been dealer serviced and very well taken care of. Bit of a bummer cause she was getting it real cheap from the dealership, but now she thinks she will wait to something else gets traded in.
  2. have you had any serious tranny problems with them...that seems to be the main concern and if so at what about what mileage? thanks
  3. My wife is looking at a ford freestar van, just wondering if anyone owns one or knows anything about problems with these vans. I have herd there is problems with the tranny in some of the older ones, the one she is looking at is 2006. Any advice on this vehicle is greatly appreciated.
  4. on the head, for some reason the deer flies like to get tangled in my hair and bite on the head.A close second is the feet, when bit by the large black horse flies my feet swell, any swelling is an allergic reaction
  5. I did some research myself on this, I ended up booking a couple days at Wakimi and then a few more at Halfway in july. By all accounts the fishing seems to be better at halfway with less traffic then Windy or fairbanks.
  6. the only thing you will have to pay taxes on is the boat,so get a seperate receipt for the motor...for example for someone I know the break down was like this ,3500 for boat and trailer and then 6000 for the 2 motors. they had to only pay taxes on the boat portion......plus the bills were lower than the cost. as mentioned above
  7. check out the coleman weathermaster tent, good dry tent sleeps 8 and has a hinged door which works great. It will run you about 350 at Canadian Tire when not on sale. here is a link to it with some customer feedback. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/5/SportsRec/Camping/Tents/PRDOVR~0765086P/Coleman+Weather+Master+Tent%2C+10-Person.jsp?locale=en
  8. I am new to inflatables but was given a 8 ft sea eagle inflatable rated for a 5 hp outboard. Seems to be in good condition for the most part . Pumped it this morning around 9am and by 7 pm had deflated noticeabily, not flat or anything close but the sides were alot softer. Is this normal,do most inflatables lose air over the course of a day like this? There is a couple patches on it maybe they are still leaking? Maybe the valves are leaking?I figure it would be only a few pumps with the foot pump to get it back up. How concerned should I be? I will be using it on small back lakes for 3-4 hours at a time.
  9. toss up, love watching a float go down for steelhead but also love wading out and tossing top waters in the evenings for bass and pike. A close 3rd would be running for a tip up watching it going down.
  10. just bought a pair of these http://www.columbia.com/Men%E2%80%99s-Drainmaker%E2%84%A2-II-Shoe/BM2552,default,pd.html perfect for the boat and camping....will not keep your feet dry but made to get wet and dry quickly plus give good stability in the boat or hiking......half price at Columbia store in London
  11. I can not count how many times I hooked a fish on first drift or cast, then nothing the rest of the day. On my favourite walleye spot I have to pull up to the shoal on the exact angle and and anchor on the exact spot to make sure it is going to be a good day.
  12. if your talking about the ponds in south london,I would go with a mushroom anchor. The bottom is all mud and silt and lots of weed growth, mushroom anchors work great in the mud and do not dig into the weeds like a danforth would when pulling up.
  13. fish the area out by the delawanna inn, spinner baits, husky jerks...lots of pike
  14. wow that is too bad...probably been about 15 years since i was last there...the fishing was good, pike, smallies, walleye and I caught the biggest channel cat ever there....I have a picture of me with it...maybe if I can find it I will post it.
  15. not sure where pretty channel is but from the snap shot to me it looks like a spot I use to fish on six mile. If so there is a waterfall up more and a couple little docks on either side of the outflow,it was part of the PP and had a campsite on one side. Good fishing there.
  16. Bass Haven in Mitchels Bay is good,...there is a free launch at the lighthouse at the mouth of the Thames but it is a good ride from there to mitchels bay or st.lukes....but there is plenty good fishing out from the lighthouse.
  17. sitting online this morning here in St.Thomas herd and felt 2 rumbles about 15-20 seconds apart....almost like a 18 wheel truck drove down my street, but there was no truck.
  18. heres is a suggestion....a little more than 2 ,probably just over 3 but lake St.Clair, lots of pike and lots of walleye
  19. actually not a johnson...that is a 4 stroke so it is a suzuki,no need for him to downgrade to a merc You will love the motor ,i have a 70 4 stroke johnson(suzuki) and has been a dream to own.
  20. this motor has both a built in tank and a connection for an external tank....right now i am try it with the built in tank.....thanks
  21. problem 1..I have a 1995-6 nissan 5 hp outboard. well the motor fell over and broke the shifter handle off.I need to find either a new one or scrap one to replace. Can somebody make a suggestion where in southern ontario(london) ,but i will travel to get,i would be able to find one. thanks problem 2 my dad pick up a 1998 5 hp johnson ,he brought it over and we could not get it to start. I changed the plug put in new gas, still will not fire. Not sure if there is a spark,I pulled out plug and and tired to start and I am sure I did not see a spark. Where should I go from here. thanks.
  22. dont get me wrong I am not saying buy it here....that is the best price I have been able to find in ontario, most places in the states it is around the 1000 mark. I am looking to buy a 1000w for camping and i will be traveling to Port Huron if i can not find a used one before then.
  23. funny you mentioned the ruperts my son played 5 years against these 2 in minor hockey( minor peewee til minor midget)....lets just say I seen them goon it up more than a few times over that period.
  24. well the best price I could find up here on a new honda 2000w inverter generator was this one,the place is in gta http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-home-outdoor-outdoor-tools-storage-HONDA-GENERATOR-NEW-EU2000KC2-W0QQAdIdZ344905549QQfeaturedAdZtrue
