  1. Just wondering if anyone can share some info on this park and the lake. I will be travelling up that way in july and hope to be staying there and doing some fishing for a couple days. Any info on the park and lake would be wonderful, thanks
  2. I picked up a pair of 175 80D 13 on a white 5 bolt rim at a trailer place in Brantford for 50 bucks each, everywhere else they were at least 90 bucks. I can not remember the name of the place but they advertise in the Tri-ad all the time.
  3. generally in a pool the bows will be in the tailout. If you spend more time fishing the tailout you should hook more bows than suckers. Now saying that does not mean there will be no bows in the head or middle of the pool, this is usally the best spots for dropbacks but you will hook into more suckers as well.
  4. no worries I did not purchase from a big box store, rather Dale Equipment in Belmont a toro, cubcadet dealer.
  5. thanks for all the replies .I went out today and bought a toro 3 in 1 self propelled. After one cut I like it. After talking to several people in the repair business the over whelming concensus was the Toro.
  6. I need to buy a new mower on monday looking to spend around 400 bucks ,would really like a self propelled so far I have narrowed it down to a toro, john deere, lawnboy or cubcadet. Please if anyone has some first hand knowledge please pass it along. They all seem like good mowers not much between them.If there is another brand to consider please mention .thanks
  7. Yes it is a 4 stroke Johnson 70 hp. I bought it brand new last year. It came with the 3 year BRP warranty even though it was a left over model.
  8. the motor is a 4 stroke and the 10 hr inspection is a requirement for the warranty. I called a dealer and he says about 80 bucks without changing the gear and motor oil, which I did in the fall.
  9. Anyone familar with the required BRP 10 hour inspection on new outboards. Just like to know the time it takes ,cost and what is involved exactly and if it has to be exactly 10 hours or could it be a little less or a little more? thanks
  10. listening to jethro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1E7XiaM-hE&feature=fvwrel
  11. Low milage sleds are hard to find for your price range. I would agree to look to the south for one they usually have lower milage from less frequent use. I have a 1998 Polaris Indy 500 bought it brand new and right now it has a grand total of 1800 miles on it and looks brand new but I would be lucky to get 2000 for it because it is 13 years old.
  12. terrible news,I only talked to him through this board he gave me some pointers on Wildwood once.OFC has lost a true friend. R.I.P. John.
  13. I have a 1987 Buick Grand National original owner, the turbo V6 is an amazing motor.I have done some upgrades over the years and right now it has about 450 hp without touching the engine, just the exhaust, air, chip, the thing is a rocket a real head snapper when the turbo kicks in.
  14. I grew up camping at the pinery. great park but very busy and hard to book a site during the summer. Great beach,Grand Bend only a clicks down the road, the river inside the park has canoe rentals. The fishing use to be fairly descent for bass and at one time they use to stock rainbow trout in the river above the tiny dam. I use to catch pike bass and panfish from the top side dam from shore. The lower side we caught bass, carp, crappy, sunfish, rock bass, and dogfish. If you canoe on the lower side there are plenty of weeds which hold pike, bass and dogfish, man there are a blast to catch and very tough.
  15. Congrats on the new wheels ...it is amazing what they can do with a 6 , I own a V6 that I have had for 24 years now, never meet a V8 stang I never walked all over with it,I just might have to find one of these 305 hp V6 stangs to see how they go,I miss the days when there were 5.0s everywhere to run against.
  16. if it is a tan colour like you mentioned sounds like you have water in your lower unit that has got in from a damaged prop seal.change the oil and replace the seal. http://www.ehow.com/how_7674124_replace-boat-prop-seal.html
  17. we use to do well in early May at Port Bruce, just float some dew worms along the shore especially near wood.
  18. clean hit or not this has always been the way hockey has been played, when someone hits the supertar someone has to stand up for him to suggest not to do it again you don't stand by and let your best players take hits like that ,Gretzky had Semenko patroling so not to get smoked like that.
  19. comsumer reports rank frigidaire and whirlpool at the top.
  20. congrats on the coaching background ,hopefully your players were able to develop charcter when you threw in the towel. Wilson believed they were still in the game and refused to lay down which is a good sign to his players that he believed in them, kudos to him. I played Jr. hockey my son now plays Jr. i coached AAA for 5 years so I can appreciate what Wilson was doing and would of done the same myself, even thou I hate the leafs I love when a coach coaches to the final buzzer no matter what the score.
  21. empty net goals do not count towards a goalies GAA.Admitting defeat before the game is over is quitting.Playing hard to the end will build character. Not wanting your players to give up because of the score means as a coach who must do the same.
  22. I have coached alot of rep hockey the last 10 years and you never accept defeat until the game is over. What is the difference losing 4-1 or 5-1,send the message to the players that you play to the end no matter what the score is other wise you are a quitter.
  23. I took my 10 year old son and father last year here south shore ice condos http://www.nipissingicefishing.com/ great huts, great service I would highly recommend. We caught walleye, pike, perch and lots of herring. We are going again in late january. They also have some day huts they will move you to if the bite is slow at the bungalows.
