  1. There are enough crappies to go around. With a long weekend, and beautiful weather, there would be people out regardless of any postings of good fishing. Word travels fast, even without the net. Glad to hear ya had a good day Stan. We've been having a blast with them too! S.
  2. Well, the way I see it is its not the spot that catches the fish. I can send 10 guys to a spot I fish, and only a couple of them will manage to figure out how to catch the fish there. Don't worry about it bud, you should mention this guides name so every one knows what a tool he is S.
  3. Yep, she's blowin pretty good here now too.......if there are any lakes with ice, its gone after tonight S.
  4. Try shallower next time. Like really shallow. Get away from the main lake, and back in a cove, or channel......that's where they are now. Its all temp, if you can find water that is a few degrees warmer than the main lake, you'll find the crappies in there somewhere. At least ya got the bugs all worked out........I hope S.
  5. Its flat calm here........ S.
  6. Are you talking about me
  7. I'd do that with mine, but my wheels will hit the boat. Axles are cheap though, if it will work with yours. s.
  8. Hey, I'm a kawartha icefisherman too!! I couldn't find the little buggers through the ice though!!! They're a lot easier to find when you have different temps in the water!! S.
  9. You need a trailer with drop axles. This is going to make your trailer a little wider, hope that's not an issue. Mine is the same as yours, so I know where your coming from. I want a new one too. A drive on would be nice. Let me know how you make out. S.
  10. Atta boy Jer! Nice work!! We found them to be pretty isolated too. If you weren't casting within a 15ft circle, you didn't get bit. It took a while to find them, but once we did, it sure was fun!!! Couldn't catch one to save our life anywhere else, just this one little hole. S.
  11. I have a 96 40 Mariner and no matter what I do, it won't pee with muffs on. Never has and prolly never will. Watch your exaust ports and see if water is coming out of there.......that's the water that is actually cooling the engine. The water coming out the tell-tale is just overflow, and shouldn't even get hot! The oil is just fogging oil I bet. Take it for a run in the lake. That's the best way to see if everything is working. I don't even try mine on muffs anymore, I just go down the road and throw it in the lake. S.
  12. Sounds like a good day Cliff!! You certainly couldn't ask for better weather!! I know all about the plugs on that voyager.......I changed mine ONCE too Never again though, not worth my time!!! Hope ya lay into the slabs today, you know where to go. S.
  13. That thing is going to fly with a 50 on it!! I bet you get 35MP out of it, no problem!! s.
  14. I took my son and a friends daughter out for some spring slab action this afternoon. Once we got on them, it was non stop action. These two had a blast. They wanted to do everything themselves today, so other than a couple tough hook removals, I let them have atter. There was quite the competition going on with these two!! We kept 30 12"ers, and released many more that size and bigger! Great action and a ton of fun for the kids.......we had a great day!! Awesome average size!! Great weather, great company, some monster slabs, and a HUGE fish fry at the end of the day.......does it get any better??? S.
  15. I know what I'd do if I didn't have a fishing boat
  16. The Dawg will chime in when he's ready. I'm sure he's fine S.
  17. You should be proud Pete! Its a tough one to kick. I hope I can finally get 'er done too! Whatever you do, don't even think about starting up again. We'll have to come down there and kick your S.

So, where ya headed? Come on in to chat! S.
  19. Ha.....ya gotta love it when they're jumping at your floats!! We had the same kind of action today....every cast! S.
  20. Me and a buddy had a good time tonight hauling them. It took a couple spots to find them, but once we did, it was non stop. Every cast. s.
  21. I'll be out the next 3 days! Boat is already hooked on and ready to go! S.
  22. Definitly the lowest I've ever seen it at this time of year. By far. Last year we were millimeters from a new high water record right now.......amazing how things change in one season huh? S.
  23. I signed it for what its worth. Do you really think the RLTA will put a stop to icefishing, and change the panfish limits???? I think its totally laughable myself. We have so much info/research/science to back us anglers, the MNR will just laugh at the proposal. We've got the highest limits on bluegills in N.A. I have a hard time believing the MNR is going to change it. The RLTA is going to need some serious proof before anything changes, and it will take them years to get it. The new regs will be in place for long enough to see what actually comes of them, before anything will change, at the very least. S.
  24. No worries here. I don't think Gibsons will run out of rye S.
