  1. Like said above, if you plan on killing varmints with your gun, you'll need a hunting license as well as a small game sticker. Who knows, you might like it, and take up hunting more seriously. S.
  2. I have a buddy who is selling a 13ft St. Croix Avid, with a stanton float reel if your interested. WELL within your budget, and its only been used a couple times.....literally. PM me if your interested. He's in London. S.
  3. Great report Mike! My old man carried me around on his back before I could even carry a fishing rod, but he never fished steelhead either. Brook trout were his specialty. Its always great getting out with the old man, ya gotta love it! S.
  4. TILLER Bass Pro is a waste of my time too!! Good luck with the install Terry. Hope your on the water next week!! S.
  5. Load the loveseat into the truck and take it back yourself..........that's what I would do anyways. If they can't replace it, get your money back, and don't leave without it!!! S.
  6. That fish is closer to 20lbs than most of you guys will ever catch!! Give the guy a break, whether its 20lbs, or 10lbs, its a freakin beauty buck.........anywhere you go!!! Nice work Shaynebow!! I'd bet its pretty close to 20lbs btw Solo, I don't think your fish has near the girth of the OP. Still a beauty, just the same! S.
  7. If the thread has a couple pictures in a row, the first reply seems to get mixed in with the pictures. S.
  8. Great minnkota guy too.
  9. Agreed! My wife is in a VW and its been nothing but a pleasure so far. Also, take a look at Subaru.....they make some great vehicles. S.
  10. There are certainly musky in there, and usually, they're big ones. I don't see too many small ones out of there. I've only caught a handful, but I don't spend much time targetting them out of rice. There are other lakes with much better musky fishing in them, that are just as close for me. s.
  11. Not a big fan of the status.........just sayin. S.
  12. Why is it when I click on a link from a post, it doesn't open in a new window anymore? Other than that, job well done! Love the new chat S.
  13. You'll be in good water there. Find the deep weed edges and cast suspending cranks, or slow troll harnesses, and you'll get some eyes. Get in touch when your headed out, and I can give you some up to date info. S.
  14. I think sunfish are considered game fish, therefore illegal to use as bait. I could be wrong, but that's the way I understand it. S.
  15. I live in the area around rice lake. I fish the lake almost weekly. I hear about this everywhere I go, and everyone I've talked to about it has told me what a joke the whole thing is. If the RLTA thinks they are going to get the regs changed, they for sure have thier heads buried in the sand. The lake hardly got touched at all by winter anglers this year. There were a few guys out of easy access areas, but at least 90% of the lake was untouched. I'd be willing to bet there were no fisherman that went thru the ice. Snowmobilers maybe, but fisherman? I have my doubts. I also bet that a lodge booked with americans fishing panfish for the week, would harvest more fish in that week, than were harvested all winter out of the lake. The RLTA argument is so weak, I'd be embarrassed to even tell the MNR about it. Do the members of the RLTA realize the damage thier doing with this whole thing?? I wonder just how many people looked for a new area to fish after reading this? I wouldn't even recommend rice lake as a place to go, after this. I'll keep fishing it every week. S.
  16. We pounded walleye out of rice from opening day till closing. Go where the fish are and you'll catch them. S
  17. Usually, there is a tuesday night chat. If your in there, put up a post on the main board, and people will join in for sure. S.
  18. When you've got two together like that, they will only hold as much power as the weakest battery. Other than that, it will work fine. s.
  19. Find deep weed edges and you'll find walleye. You'll have no trouble finding fish. Stay away from any algae blooms, and get in the good green weeds. s.
  20. Either one of those will do just fine. s.
  21. Try Rocky's in Orillia. He's usually got a few used units kicking around. Edit: What is it your looking for exactly? S.
  22. Big or small, fry them all!!
