  1. it cleans everything from the gas tank to the exaust system. Its good stuff! I've never used it in a 4 stroke, but all my two strokes get a regular treatment with it! S.
  2. Sounds like a good weekend to me! S.
  3. Ya, I tried that and got put on hold for longer than I could wait. S.
  4. I've sent one to the general email already. I guess I'll just wait it out and see. S.
  5. Ok, so early this week I was fishing lakers in the haliburton area and caught one with a tag in it. I recorded the length/girth, the tag number, and released it. The phone number on the tag was worn off, so I don't have the number to call. I've emailed a few places now, and nobody seems to want to get back to me, so I'm hoping someone here knows that number, so I can call. I'd love to know when this fish was tagged, and how much its grown in that time. This lake is not stocked, and it has the natural strain of algonquin lakers in it. Any ideas? Here's a pic of the fish. You can just see the tag by the dorsal fin. It was covered in green slime/algae, and very hard to read the numbers. The fish is still out there, tag and all. S.
  6. Congrats Mike!! Great photo!! S.
  7. Atta boy Jarred. I fished lakers the last couple days up there and pounded them real good. We got them all trolling. Just flatlined a #7 taildancer, and trolled 1.5-2mph. They were smashing it hard! Loads of fun!! S.
  8. Yep, your doing it all wrong for sure!! I've had no probs catching crappies anywhere I go this year. A lot of guys are saying they aren't getting them, but I just can't see it. Maybe I'm just lucky I'm not the least bit surprised about the idiots doing stupid stuff though. Before ya know it, the kawartha's will be just like simcoe. It will cost you a fortune to launch a boat and go fishing. S.
  9. As a matter of fact, yes I did. Happy now? S.
  10. Yes, I clearly see the difference, but I don't feel I'm harming the fish in either situation, and don't think anyone has or will ever be charged for it either. I would have to get very lucky to beat any of my PB's, and they for sure are NOT out of season. Don't get your knickers in a knot. Like I said, i could care less either way, what you do! S.
  11. Both are illegal to be in your possession, according to the letter of the law. I could care less either way. I take pics of OOS fish all the time, and I will continue to do so. I also retain my slot fish long enough for a measurement, and usually snap a photo of them as well. I know how to properly handle them though, and that is the key, regardless of whether they are in season or in the slot. S.
  12. In order to measure it, it must be in your possession. So whats the difference when taking an OOS pic? The photo probably takes less time. S.
  13. Actually, no, I'm not at all. They're out there, you just gotta find 'em! Shallow, shallow, shallow.... S.
  14. I've been out 3 times and caught as many perch as I wanted each time. I was out there 3 weeks ago pounding them.... lol . S.
  15. You got it!
  16. I have to agree. Its been here for 3 days, and I just noticed this now. Done, thanks for posting it, Ron! S.
  17. We have the same problem. The worste spots are the fishing holes. Always tons of garbage. They are the worst slobs. The parks are usually ok if there is nowhere to fish, but if there is fishing, you can always count on garbage spread from one end to the other. It royally pisses me off! S.
  18. The worste part is when you put a garbage can in these spots, the garbage still gets thrown on teh ground. I'll tell ya, some of the biggest slobs are fishermen. Its disgusting! S.
  19. Yes, I noticed the middle goose too. Odd one for sure. Could also be a hybrid. No two are the same when it comes to birds. They all have subtle differences. Pretty cool stuff when you get to see lots of them. Most people don't even notice.......too busy looking at technology!! S.
  20. Are you sure its not a snow goose? Does it have black wingtips? It could very well be a snow. There seems to be more and more of them around every year. S.
  21. Neat eh? That one in the photo looks like a cross with a canada and domestic goose, judging by the orange legs. Here is a picture of a leucistic (white) goose I shot last fall. This one looked snow white as it came to the decoys, but once in hand, it was more like faded. Basically, its missing a pigment in its feathers that protect it from UV, so they fade to a whitish colour over time. There are lots of variations of it as well. Google leucism to see more. S.
  22. Yep, it would have to be cold enough for long enough to freeze it solid for anything to crack, and I doubt with these temps there is any ice at all inside the block. Its only below zero for a few hours over night, not long enough to freeze a block and crack it! S.
  23. How do you figure this will work? If I don't buy gas that day, I will have to buy it the next day. These things never make any sense to me. The gas companies will get their money one way or another. If they lose, they raise the price....its that simple. S.
  24. Ditto.......usually just when the black flies start, the lakers are hot in the shallows! S.
