  1. My money is on your E-brake. S.
  2. I'd bet I could catch just as many fish with a 7' med light spinning rod/reel as any "floatrod". S.
  3. I'd consider it all one watershed, and all one sanctuary. S.
  4. I've had a hut on scugog for over 20 years. There are not many eyes left in there, I'll tell ya that. Not compared to what it used to have, that is for sure. It wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if they shut it down to ice fishing for WALLEYE. The problem is, most guys are fishing crappies these last couple/few years. Walleyes aren't even worth fishing for. Back in the day, you could go out and catch double digits of walleyes any day of the week. Its crazy how its changed. S.
  5. I was thinking brakes too.... S.
  6. How come I dont see anyone fishing there thru that ice? S.
  7. I wont pay more than $10 to launch anywhere. I mean really....how much maintenance is there on a concrete ramp? Most of them dont even have a garbage can, let alone a crapper. Launch fees drive me crazy. Someone pockets the money, and does nothing for it. S.
  8. Cute pup! Dont let her boss you around! She will!! LOL S.
  9. yep, they're great live! Seen them a couple times as well! S.
  10. What kind of boat are you mounting the riggers on? That will also have an impact on what and when you can fish out there. You've got some great advice though. I still only run 4 rods...2 riggers, 2 divers, and sometimes a leadcore down the middle....that's all ya need to catch fish. Simple and effective. Now stock up on spoons, flashers and flies LOL S.
  11. Ive had yotes stalk my goose decoys, and turkey decoys and end up dead....several times. Ive also seen kill sites of turkeys, and can only assume yotes. They would certainly be hard to catch! Raccoons and crows are bigger turkey predators though! S.
  12. You can upload the pic to photobucket, and copy the IMG link at the bottom if the pic into your post. It will appear as a picture when you post it. Easiest wat to post pics. S.
  13. If ya hate yotes, and want them dead, while they have pups is the best time. One shot kills the whole fam damily!! I dont hunt yotes, but I shoot every one that comes in range while im hunting anything else. My turkeys started to travel today. They're headed for my go to spot S.
  14. Let me tell ya, if there was a cull here, i'd be first in line!!! Anything is good in pepperettes or sausage! S.
  15. Pretty neat. Spend enough time with your dog, and you can teach them to do anything. S.
  16. THATS what its all about right there!! Good work!! Great report! S.
  17. I'm in the market for a new vehicle too. I'm really having a hard time deciding what to get. I don't want a full size truck. I've been looking at the liberty's....I dunno. I might just keep the car I'm driving now, and get a beater 4x4 truck for when I need it. So many new vehicles now that just aren't proven. Seems like they build something, and when it starts to fail, they change to a new model. I'm not really sold on anything. S.
  18. I say send it to the muskoka's. See how it flies over there. S.
  19. Well MY HOME COTTAGE will be directly affected by this place, so I'm all against it. Would you like this place put on your beloved notty, Bill? Geeze...open your mind a little dude. S.
  20. Post a pic. If its insulated chimney pipe it could be worth a fair bit, and I might know a guy who wants it. S.
  21. I can't recall ever icefishing in may, but this might be the year for it. Two years ago I had the boat out in feb....that was a new one for me too. Crazy weather. S.
  22. Say what? LOL....you can't attract bees with vinegar..... Shimano has been nothing but spectacular for me. I live close enough that I just drive them to the shop, and most times they fix them on the spot. $20 and I'm out the door with a pretty much brand new reel. S.
  23. Turkeys are still in large winter groups, in isolated areas. What I mean is there are large groups, in a small area. Im not seeing turkeys in my usual spots, but a farm down the road has about 90 of them. They will start to spread out as the ground gets exposed, but I think its going to be a tough season. I havent heard any gobbling yet at all, and I check on these birds pretty much daily. I dont think numbers are down, and I dont think yotes are getting as many as you might think either. S.
  24. These guys don't like my dog much at all. LOL S.
  25. I agree with Mike as well. I see more locals out keeping limits every day than I do visitors.... The locals even have the gall to brag about it. No enforcement, shotty rules....what can ya do. Our govt is going to wreck this country before ya know it. Our resources are being raped in every direction, and they don't seem to give darn! S.
