  5. Good grouse hunting up there for sure. I slice them and fry them up with garlic butter. Or me and my hunting partners keep a couple of limits and and then we make a Chicken A La King. But we use grouse, pheasant and hare instaed of chicken So we call it Something A La King

  7. Sadly it is another moment in life that pretty well everybody knows exactly what he was doing when this happened.
  8. Kenny supposedly they catch lots of smallies around Islands falls. And they get all pissed off when they catch em too. What I have heard about how the smallies got in there was when they stocked a small lake in Timmins and didn't know that the lake and the Mattagami river were joined by an underground stream or something.
  9. Terry the 11 in SRF goes West to East??? Is he on the road to Fraserdale??? Or the East side of the Abitibi River?? Roy, I know Dr. Lebel. He is very well liked up there but he is at the new Hospital not the one that was turned into the detox. I met him once but under very hard circumstances, he was trying to explain to me that my Dad would be better taken off the machines so as not to let him suffer any longer. It was the hardest decision we ever took. My Mom thinks of Dr. Lebel as her Saint!!!
  10. The old hospital is now a Detox Center. Terry you will have to be more precise on the location. Is he West of the bridge or East.
  11. I am from SRF originallly lived there for 20 years. Where is the hunting camp that he is going to??? The Mattagami river is full of walleyes. There was snow there on Sat. morning but the lakes are not iced up yet.
  12. Is he at Carleton U or Ottawa U???? I am pretty sure that you are out of luck for the Canal though I am pretty sure that they drained it last weekend. but there is the Rideau river that flows right beside Carleton U. west of the Bronson av bridge. you can fish for walleyes there and some musky have been caught in the area and some largies are also caught just east of the bridge.
  13. Looks like a teenaged pike with an acne problem.
  14. I'd rather like to see them hung by there eyelids and then whip there nutzz until they blink!!!
  15. I read somewhere that shorthly we will be able to pay insurrance (pay for use) All because of an addition to the existing GPS system. You will have a GPS transmitter in teh vehicle and the insurrance will be calculated by use of the vehicles and mileage put on the vehicle. Not sure where I read it , but I think it is thru the CNN website Here is a story like the one I mentioned above that also talks about Pay-per-use insurance BRUSSELS – The European Union launched a free satellite navigation network on Thursday that could help pilots, drivers and blind people by fine-tuning the accuracy of the U.S. global positioning system (GPS) to around 2 meters. The EGNOS system will use three satellites and 34 ground stations to narrow the horizontal accuracy of GPS from around 7 meters previously and improve its vertical accuracy to help pilots during landings. The "Safety-of-Life" service for aircraft navigation could be in place next year, the EU executive said in a statement. Farmers could also benefit from improved precision for spraying fertilizers, and new applications could emerge on roads, such as automatic tolling and pay-per-use car insurance. "It will make all personal navigation applications much more precise, giving birth to new possibilities like guiding aids for blind people," the Commission said. The system was pioneered by the Commission, the European Space Agency and aviation safety authority Eurocontrol. It paves the way for the better known Galileo project, a European satellite system which will rival GPS and could be up and running in 2014. The 4 billion euro ($5.8 billion US) Galileo project, Europe's biggest single space program, has been plagued by delays and squabbling over funding that ended only when the EU agreed to fund it from the public purse.
  16. Can't use the real ones for ice fishing, first they roll up in a ball plus you can't get them in bait shops after September. I haven't tried the Gulp Alive ones ice fishing. But I like them just as much as the real ones. Plus you don't have to refrigerate, and you will be able to catch 6 walleyes before having to replace it. To get more action with the Gulp leeches a use my scissors and split the tail in 2.
  17. Everybody knows that sunFIRE and WATER don't mix!!!!!!! By the way Paul either your carpets needs a good cleaning or that was McWater!!
  18. Yes I should see the pics but I don't!!!
  19. Happy BDay Paul, may your next year be full of new bird species to take pictures of. I was going to wish for you to catch nice fish but you already have that under control.
  20. I wouldn't mind the 300 millions tag on a new election if it actually made a difference. but the last 2 elections we ended up with the same results as we went in to the elections. But it still cost us a bundle. I am tired of voting for the less of 2 evils.
  21. As soon as I take my frogs out of the wrapper I usually grab my pliers and bend out the hooks backwards a bit , I do catch more weeds this way but my hookup ration has more than tripled because of this.
  22. Some lemon juice!!!! Might sting a bit if you were not careful while filleting

  24. Carl waited and waited and it paid off! You never know when the guy in front of you is going to give you an inch, but you have to be there when he gives it to you.
  25. Let's not start comparing prices now!!!!!!!!! Cause I would have to say that in 1976, I saw Supertramp in Ottawa 5 rows up and the ticket cost me $12.00. Those were the days.
