  1. they ahve them on special every once in a while. I usually pick up 10-12 spools when they do. I'll go check.
  2. Snell knot is the one to use for harnesses.
  3. Next time you or your wife does the groceries, buy some brocoli , they usually come with big wide rubber band to hold them together, just put that on your spool and tie the line normally it won't slip on the rubber band. If you want to use tape try to find the self-amalgamating rubber tape. Don't use any stuff that has glue on it. In the heat the glue will leak and get your reel all sticky.
  4. Firstly you can get a 3 day fishing license which will cost about 25.00 instead of a year long one which is about 55.00. But I have no info on Mc Gregor though
  5. Marinate fillets in Red Dot Louisiana Hot sauce for a couple of hours. Take out and let the sauce drip off a bit then in a plastic bag with (1/2 cup flour + 3/4 cup of cornmeal) then deep fry. Then crack open a cold one !!!!!!!!!
  6. that's exactly why I said to call a paving company. they use the right stuff.
  7. I don't have a flag at home myself but my neighbour she likes to wear her Canadian Flag bikini any time she sunbathes. And every time she does I stand at attention!!! Now if Quebec separates I wonder if it is on the top or bottom part of the Bikini.
  8. I had done mine with stuff that you buy at the store what a waste of money. If you go thru a paving company(most have a crew for this) to get it done professionally they usually use the liquid(tar) straight from the paving plant, much better quality than anything you can buy.
  9. I've forgotten 2 dozen of leeeches in my fridge downstairs for a whole summer never ged the water or anything, If it's cold enough they just go dormant. I bought some openeing weekend for walleyes and I ahd a couple of dozens left and I found them in my fridge middle of Sept. I took them outside and rinsed out the container and found only 3 dead ones the other ones came back to life and healthy within 5 minutes of the water warming up. i threw them back in the fridge and used them the next weekend and they were all still in good shape.
  10. First thing to do is too make sure you take it off Automatic. then just go anchor somewhere and play with it. Or go on the Lowrance website and dowload your sonar's emulator and play with it on your computer. they have all sorts of articles on there also to be able to set it up the way you want it.
  11. Check the news on July 4th and you will see a lot of Americans doing the same thing as those people. What they are doing is nothing else but being Patriotic. They don't want to carry the flag around all day so they wear it.
  12. NO don't do it !!!!!!!!!!! The first time I borrowed the F-I-L's boat I also used his truck and he had a 1 7/8's ball which he had always used to tow his boat with. Well I was on my way to pickup my buddy to go fishing and had to take an overpass that had a nice smooth bump in it which kind of acted like a slingshot effect and off came the trailer, good thing for good safety chains or the boat could've ended up on top of the traffic below. The bow of the boat just destroyed the tailgate of the truck by banging into it 6-7 times as I was using it to slow down the trailer.
  13. Most boats bought straight form the dealers might not have the perfect prop for it. Which might cause the Over rpms. Firstly you should make sure that the motor was installed at the right height(anti-ventilation plate level with bottom of the boat) then you go out get the boat properly trimmed and WOT and check your rpms And depending on how high or low compared to the motor manufacturers Max RPM then you might have to change the prop pitch. Adding 1" of pitch to a prop will drop the rpms by about 200. You want to run your motor at the max rpms when you are going WOT. Tha sound though is it just regular over revving sound or sounds like something is wrong????
  14. The ticking noise is normal it's the transducer that is transducing!!! Not showing fish is possibly adjustements or there is no fish to show! even if fish-Id shows a fish it is possible that it takes unwanted noise(weeds) and shows it as fish.
  15. First of all the guy holding the wolf is 5'1" and weighs 120lbs. Most adult timber wolves would be that big.
  16. Don't forget the changed date for an application. June 30.
  17. Gorgeous fish, what was the measurement?????If it was 11" it was a record. Wouldn't that be fun on an ultralight ice rod with 1lbs test line!!!!!
  18. I know what you mean, I must've loss a couple of pints of blood yesterday. I asked the same question on another site and somebody said that they sell patches that you put on your hat. but I am not sure if it attract them to the patch and then they stay stuck to them or just because they always fly around your head. But I have the same problem as you. My ankles end up swelling and hurting like hell. If the patch attracts them I might try end put a couple in the boat close to the floor. The ones around my head I can hear, but the ones around the ankles by the time you figure out that one is there it's usually too late. I hate them with a passion.
  19. I can't believe some of the comments in there!!!! I see no reason why it souldn't be sang in every Elementary School in the country!!!!
  20. One or two I will use regular knife more I'll use the electric just becasue it is a hassle getting the friggin thing back in to it's case.
  21. First of all it all depends on where you are when you take off. Nobody around and safe to do so, I go full throttle right off the bat. Which is the big reason I maxed out on the HP's. Get on plane in 2 seconds. If other people around then be civilized.
  22. The one that feels better attached to the rod. Both of those reels are good. pick up the rod and reel and you'll know .
  23. I keep checking the list and I still only see one boat that is not going to make it to the tourney, I tought that somebody said that everyone one who counted were dropping out??? I heard on another site that the QMNR has been reached and they will update there website shortly. Right now the website is shut down .
  24. It's actually to even out the chances that there needs to be pre-fishing here. Most of the participants of that tourney it's there home waters, so it is to give the Out of town Pros a chance to see the waters a bit before. Out of 120 boats at least half are from around Montreal. So those guys already have all the spots in there GPS. It isn't a tournament of a specific tour. It's opened to everybody!!!
  25. First thing to make sure is that you have a good ground. You can try a temporary one
