  1. on a jig thru the eyes. For under a tipup or tipdown. I put it on the side, ahead of the Dorsal fin just under the skin with the hookpoint coming out just behind the gills, on a circle hook and they hook themselves.
  2. It sounds like your trailer lights issue is a bad ground. When they act up and it doesn't make any sense.
  3. Similar stuff happens in Ontario. In my Hometown i know of a house on a Concession rd that the Fire department watched burned to the ground because the house was on the West side of the street. The west side of the street was in another District.
  4. If you are going to use that gun only mostly for grouse find yourself a good .410. That's all I've ever used for them.
  5. First thing that you have to do is to have the best tires possible for your Quad. I have the Mudlites with 1 1/8" lugs. And I never tought that tires would make so much diff.
  6. looks like it will be sturdy, but just for the heck of it send Plano an e-mail and tell them what happened. If they do the same for you as they did for me they might replace the front panel. . Make sure to mention that you really liked that tackle box.
  7. My sincere condolences, he sure had a nice grandpa and great-grandpa smile.
  8. OOPs double post.
  9. Great fishing BBR how's the family???
  10. I fished with one of those this weekend on a new G-Loomis NRX rod. What a friggin nice combo and it's a charm to fish with. My buddy will put a Core on it and it will be even lighter.
  11. For me it wasn't how comfortable I was reeling in with my left hand, it was more how easier I found it to control the rod with my right hand.
  12. Google "Baitcasting 101"
  13. Also bring the rod that you will put it on to the store to make your purchase. If it doesn't feel right try it on another rod.
  14. Me too I would take the Citica. A buddy fisherman told me about a Citica and the repeat what he said , "They are indestructible, best reels I've ever owned for that price range.
  15. Ezelo.com Sheldon will put you on fish . Right now he is at The AIM Tourney on Lake Winnibigoshish in Minnesota. He is from Perth Ontario and guides on BOQ.
  16. BPS sells a Rod Balancing kit. Which is great if your combos are not set up properly. It does add weight to teh overall combo but feels a lot lighter on the wrist for all day fishing. But the best way is to balance the combo at the store like Fish meister mentioned
  17. Yeah it looks like an ice-spreader to me.
  18. I have a Kawasaki Power Brute 750 and I had issues with it until I got rid of the original CDI box. Now I have a bit more horsepower but no more of the small "check Belt" light coming on and dropping my Power by more than half for no friggin reason. I have Mudlite XL 1 1/8" lugs, it'll go pretty well anywhere in snow. Great for ice fishing.
  19. But it might be more expensive if they have to go thru and find the files that you need. Instead of just photocopying everything.
  20. He wasn't from Ottawa, he was from Arnprior.
  21. I got one built with a boat rack So I drive to the spot take the ATV off hook up teh trailer to it and away we go.
  22. Might be hard to find an Outfitter at that time of the year in Northern Ontario. Moose season!!!!
  23. Make sure that you were using the right knot. Palomar.
  24. Actually you don't need a license to possess fish. The Conservation tag lower limit is only the Daily catch limit not for the possession limit.
  25. I saw one a few years back but sadly they didn't have any of my size left. There was a picture a 3-4 jerkbaits on it and it said . "All my fishing buddies are JERKS.
