It seems to be down to much. It should be installed so that the line in the middle of the transducer should be level with the bottom of the boat. So is the probelm only when you are moving?? The clicking sound is normal.

My son joined the Reserves the day he turned 16. He's doing his second Combat Engineer course in Gagetown this summer and then doing 2LC's(??) course and will come out of there as a Master Corporal. I have never seen an 18 year old kid with such good working discipline. I am so proud of him, but with all this army training away from home, I have to mow my lawn cause he's never around to do it for me. By the way I showed him how to play Euchre cause the last time the army went to Toronto they played cards instead of cleaning up the snow.

Mandatory is not the way to go but, lots of teenagers would benefit from a 3 month Boot camp!!

two thumbs up for everybody that is staying on board, too bad that JP and Dave had to pull out because of there work schedule. QMNRF has issued a letter to B1 organizer that is available on the B1 web site, that says that they can prefish 4 days earlier but catch and release, barbless hooks and opened to all licensed fisherman (not just participants) 120 boats staying in motels for 5-6 days is not peanuts for the area. They will eat in restaurants all this time(not just chip stands) and spend a ton of money on gas in all that prefishing . Some can come up with studies after studies of why this is not good for the bass fishery but just as many could possibly Google as much studies that would show that it won't affect it. They asked for an extension and they got it. So we have to live with it. Soome might think it's wrong but I think more power to them. Can't remember the guy that said it first but it goes something like " Ask and you shall receive!!!"

Would a SS make a difference on a 25 hp for performance???? How much flex can you have from a 25hp. I was told that my 75 wouldn't see that much of a difference. I would say stick with the alum. and save your gears.

Judging by the pictures I think you should just park the truck. Cause one wheel is turning right and the other one is turning left???? I tought it was pretty funny. Sure sounds like what a balancing issue would cause, but a good mechanic should be abl to sort it out for you. Better to do it now than have to get a tow from 40 miles deep in the bush. Or it's a loose nut behind the wheel!!!!!! -
Buddy of mine bought this one at CTC for about 100.00 and he loves it nice and light. I tried it today and it a charm to fish with. It's the Daiwa Megaforce. http://www.daiwa.com/Reel/detail.aspx?ID=234

I usually fillet on shore before leaving the lake, i just don't cut the tail off, so the 2 fillets are holding together by the tail. And I wait until I get home before I skin them to freeze.
-
I would fight a ticket because the way I read the regs are if you are fishing they should be whole but as soon as you are transporting they can be filleted as long as you leave some skin for id'ing purposes. Here is the part of the regs that says that. The fish that you catch and keep may be cleaned. However, please remember that fish taken from waterbodies where size limits are in effect must be readily measurable at all times, unless the fish are: Being prepared for immediate consumption Prepared at an overnight accommodation for storage Being transported on the water from a temporary overnight accommodation to your residence and you are not engaged in sport fishing Being transported overland.

I used to put my fish in a plastic bag and then fill it with water but it seems like the flesh soaked up some water and tasted watery. What I do now (because I am too cheap to buy a vacuum sealer) first I fill the sink with water. Then I put the fish in a plastic bag hold the bag under water in the sink to get all the air out and I close the bag carefully not letting any water in. Then I put the bag with he fish in another bag then I fill that one with water and freeze. I have found walleye that had been at the bottom of my freezer for 2 years and it was as fresh as the day I caught it. Air is the definite enemy of anything in the freezer.

I will be using 17lbs mono(Ed's suggestion, who am I to disagree) on my spinnerbait combo. This is my rod 6'9" 12 - 20lbs 1/2 - 3/4 Ex-Fast, Med-Heavy, I have the same reel as you, it is a fast retrieve but if you slow down the retrieve it will slow down the spinnerbait. Hopefully I'll try it out tomorrow.

Double post OOOPPPSSS

I did it in my basement and I used an electric brad nailer and it worked good. I had to put up strapping just because I had to level out a bad drywall job. If it is fairly good quality I don't think that I would worry about the glue.
-
I used to do that to my reels also until I started to close the bail manually instead of using the handle to close it. Haven't had any issues yet .

Did you change the gear oil when you winterized it. That is when you should change it. If you did no need to re-change it.

Talk about looking stupid and illiteracy!!!! this is what was written in the post. "we were using spinners and unfortunately we caught some oos bass" So if he says oos bass I take it that he meant oos bass.
