  4. It is with the greatest regret that I must let you know that My uncle - Terry Hunt - the 2008 LakeAir Pike tourney winner has passed away. I can not express in words the joy he had on the trip and the smile that will be remembered forever or the picture holding the biggest pike of his life. During that trip my uncle was complaining about slight acid reflux that continued to gain intensity during the summer. On Aug 7th they completed a check of the stomach and found stage 4 cancer that had completely blocked his stomach. He was told on Aug 14th that there was nothing to be done and the cancer had most likely spread. He passed away this Sunday When speaking to him he let me know that one of the greatest moments was catching that fish and the fun he had with my dad, me and Brother plus the many wonderful people he met. Thanks again, all

  7. Finally get time to post this report guess better late than never  The long weekend looked too be the best of the summer, how is that for a kick in the teeth Gathered up the family Saturday and down too our little peace of heave on Lake Erie. I got up bright and early Sunday to head out got too the launch and forgot my boat keys, at least it was only 5 min back to our camp site. Oh well bound too happen once or twice a year  What a beautiful day too be on the water, nice and cool, calm in the morning Got my riggers all set up and started my troll for the nice walleye, After about twenty minutes one pops its only a little one but kind of feisty.. Up it come and a beautiful silver bass. Not that I would eat that but are they any good? So I continue my trolling along, I go too check my bait and up comes another great walleye, I must have lost about 3 more on hook ups but you could not have got a better day on the water, Day 2 Up again early on the Sunday double check and triple check to make sure I have the boat keys  Set up and again lost 2 with one line break. Stupid store bought worm harness. Then one of the rods goes off and I picked up the best of the year so far.. It got so hot by 11:am stopped the boat, took up the riggers and overboard me and the dog went. I would say it was the best day on the open water all year so far. Now the tough questions for you Lake Erie guys, No matter how light I set the riggers I could not get a walleye to pop the clip, they would just swim behind the boat until I poped it myself. If I went too light the harness drag would pop the rigger. What type of clips do you guys use?
  8. Dolt, I wish I could have gone... If the tourny went too Sunday I was in This was my best year on Erie so far
  9. Family camping and if the warden allows it a evening or morning fishing.. Dolt here comes the warden .. got too go ahhhhhhhh
  10. Congrats Roger! ahhh to retire on well few more years to go before me
  11. I Love my legend.. like everything in life you want more space, speed, power etc.. but when it really comes down too it, I get where I am going, I sometime catch fish and return home. Was my boat underpowered??? With me and the dog nope, with 3 people sort of, 4 people yeap. Get what you can afford. If only the boat was all the cost of fishing to worry about, then comes the riggers, baits, travel cost's etc Enjoy
  12. Suggested many times, people just like that the board is always fresh and moving.. Sub-sections get stale
  13. Well after lots of stuff going on this summer and the weather not helping me I finally got out fishing. First stop was Lake O for some Salmon action, lots of hooks but very little action it was just one of those days, but oooohhh to be on the water,. Dog was in heaven again Around 10:am I decided to change up the baits again too see if it makes a difference and this was attached to the fly, swimming behind the boat for no idea how long I normaly change up every 30 min so somewhere between it hit and was swimming with us Then a weekend of family stuff again then off too lake Erie for some Walleye action, I headed out around 6:30 pm just too see if I could pick one up as the lake looked just a little bumpy It was none stop, from the time I got too the right depth till the sun set and I came in, WOW is all I can say. I lost about 4 as they were missing the hook or while reeling them in they got off. I did manage 2 in the boat. Then Tuesday am, was out again, It was typical lake Erie calm close to shore, 4 foot rollers out.. Winds were too be 10k, after about 2 hours I figured 25k then the coast guard said wind warning LOL.. Poor dog was green I did manage 1 and lost a few unfortunately this one had some ugly growth and I know you can cut it out and eat but I figured the little guy had gone this long with it so over the side he/she went All in All it was so nice to get out and report something ANYTHING...
