  1. Some pros are now running 16" units but many have 4 12" units, 2 at the driver's console and 2 at the bow of the boat! I know that as our eyes age the bigger screens are helpful! LOL
  2. This feature is for the NEW Navionics BOATING app and yes your subscription needs to be current. This along with the other advanced map options like shaded depth ranges, dock to dock auto-routing and constant updating of the charts makes it a pretty good value at $30 per year. i do a lot of planning on my i-Pad for tournament and this is going to make it so much easier!
  3. If you have the current Navionics BOATING app on your mobile device/devices there a great new feature. This new feature will help you share and manage your tracks, routes & markers (waypoints). I've been asked about how to do this many times and now it's built-in. You can transfer your routes and waypoints to your on-boat electronics units or if you're so inclined share them with your friends! LOL Better yet there's no costs involved. 4. that's awesome! Beautiful fish! Congrats!
  5. Heading over to the on the water demos at iCast 2019 down here in Orlando FL. One of the biggest buzzes down here is about how the bow mounted trolling motor scene is going to change drastically. MotorGuide, Lowrance and Garmin are all introducing competitors to the current bow-mounted trolling motor king, the Minn Kota Ultrex! Super excited to see how the new Garmin Force trolling motor is going to work with my Garmin EchoMap Ultra units! Check it out on the YouTube video: And on a lighter note watch the legendary Bill Dances and the "Sons of Fishes":
  6. Saw that on FB! Totally insane, not sure what happened prior but there is no excuse for that madness!
  7. I do believe that a new battery will solve your issues! 5-6 years is a pretty length of usage!
  8. Great prize to win! Could be that trip of a lifetime!
  9. My thoughts exactly Terry! The battery may be weak and although it starts the engine the draw will cause the unit to shut off!
  10. Ashbridges Bay has a nice ramp! You’ll have to get a Harbour licence to boat in the Toronto Harbour!
  11. Nice shots!
  12. Looks like a great trip and those are beautiful fish! That campfire was definitely appealing!
  13. Gary was on Bob’s Show a couple of times! I’m pretty sure that Miles was on as a child as well! Awesome that he’s grown up and fishing the FLW Tour! Great kid!
  14. Lots of access points in the Kawarthas for shore fishing but there is some pretty good bass fishing on the Toronto Islands, Grenadier Pond in High Park etc. in the city
  15. WOW, that's a crazy photo! Hopefully nobody was hurt!
  16. Looks like awesome time and the fishing lived up to expectations!
  17. The Provincial Parks are still affordable and up in the northwest corner of lake Simcoe, the Smith Bay launch is still free!
  18. Been to Mikisew Provincial Park a couple times a few years ago! Beautiful park on a great lake. The fishing on Eagle Lake is pretty good for walleye & smallmouth bass! Focus around the islands, check out Eagle lake on the Navionics Chartviewer to scout out potential fishing spots.
  19. Just in time for bass season! A FREE webinar presented by Navionics pro-staffer, Tyler Brinks on Tues. June 18th from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Always eager to learn more about the species that we pursue! If you're interested in learning more about Smallmouth Bass, you can register at this link: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/8774106487194507788?source=Navionics+Facebook&fbclid=IwAR14hNHk48IFrjWrMR4mHvIIC5in0o4Luz-q2SeU4vc_YzY3Dpx1LTORgbw
  20. An awesome finish to a great year for the Toronto Raptors, 2019 NBA Champions! A truly resilient team that played as a team! Congrats to all!
  21. Here is a great shot of one of Miles "Sonar" Burghoff's electronics unit displaying Navionics' SonarChart Shading. It definitely gives a different look hi-light the underwater topography. Miles is a rookie this year on the FLW Tour and is having a tremendous rookie season. Another interesting note, Miles is the son of Gary "Radar O'Reilly" Burghoff of MASH fame!
  22. I've fished G-Pool & Little quite a bit and have only run into the odd walleye and only in G-Pool! Pike fishing is pretty good on both bodies of water! As others have stated G-Bay is a better choice if you're looking for "Eyes"! Best of luck!
  23. Great to see these comments, looks like I'll have to get one!
  24. That is totally ridiculous! Police officers should be forced to take a class on using discretion, you don't always have to enforce the law to the letter!
  25. Nice "Eyes"!
