  1. LOL, ever go to a Dirt track race? .... You turn right to turn left, Now that's racing. I am a fan of all sorts of motorsports, Dirt track oval's being my personal favorite, but i'll watch and follow pretty much anything. Fingers still crossed for an evening start!
  2. I echo this post, to make it worse is their fox weather guy kept saying "looks like we may get this one in soon" and I sat in front of the TV all day watching that commentary till I finally got pissed, went out for dinner and went to a Jr. B hockey game and now I have to miss it tomorrow too, like so many others. Fingers crossed that it doesn't start till at least 5:00PM tomorrow.
  3. Correct, I should of said 4th time in Hamilton since they stayed in the Hammer through those years. I LOVE having the Niagara IceDogs in St. Catharines and if Hamilton does get an OHL team I would gladly go to a bunch of games every year like I do for the AHL Bulldogs, mind you it would be nice to keep the Bulldogs in Hamilton also, sadly the attendance just isn't there.
  4. Sucks for the fans of Erie, and if this does happen I hope the residents of the Steel City will support them, considering the fact that if they do move to Hamilton, this will be the 6th time the same franchise will be in the Hamilton. Franchise history 1946–53 Windsor Spitfires 1953–60 Hamilton Tiger Cubs 1960–74 Hamilton Red Wings 1974–76 Hamilton Fincups 1976–77 St. Catharines Fincups 1977–78 Hamilton Fincups 1978–84 Brantford Alexanders 1984–88 Hamilton Steelhawks 1988–96 Niagara Falls Thunder 1996–present Erie Otters
  5. Wow! All of those Lakers are beauts!! Congrats on the PB!
  6. Wish I lived closer, I would join you for some of those trout through the ice.
  7. Nice fish! good job and thanks for sharing the report and photos.
  8. If I didn't have to work this weekend, I would be taking advantage of driving north for some ice fishing with the guys and throwing back a few brews, that said, on Monday when my wife gets off work, we will be taking advantage of some of the Family DAY activities going on in our city. You could have the best of both worlds, but unfortunately work gets in the way. ...Remember it's Family DAY (Monday) not Family weekend.
  9. Thanks for the tip! I just started making my own leaders and this really helps to make mine better.
  10. The Columbus Blue Jackets would take Shenn, they are suckers maybe the Leafs can get Carter in return, heck send Phaneuf and Schenn to the Blue Jackets for Carter and Nash. ...No? or Carter and Wiesniewski.
  11. Hahaha!! Although the quoted post was hilarious and I ALMOST spit beer on my laptop, I am so gullible and would have probably believed that walleye are losing their teeth until I got home to google questions like crazy.
  12. My sincere condolences to the family & friends.
  13. Those videos are nuts! Kinda glad these people do things so I don't have to. lol
  14. Good job man, I wish I got into some that big last week. I ended up with 5 dinks in 4 hours.
  15. I don't believe they have a lottery system set up yet for the Redwings vs Leafs game. However, they did mention on the news lastnight they are considering it due to the high demand for this game as they are expecting over 115,000 people which will make this the largest Winter Classic yet, however they also think that there will only be 75,000 tickets available to the public and will probably go to a lottery system like they have done in the past. One news article I read says it is rumoured that hotels in the area have been sold out since yesterday...mind you I just checked expedia, and there is only 5 hotel rooms left in the ann arbour area.
  16. I didn't mind getting the yellow piece of paper, but I've only had it for a few weeks and it is getting wrecked already, now I have to find out if they will give replacements if it gets any worse.
  17. I've never took part before, but would love too this year, if possible.
  18. Some guys are planning on putting their huts out on Rosseau this Saturday and with the weekend looking colder than it has been this week, I would bring the auger and some water proof boots to deal with the slush. I called some bait shop up there today and asked about certain lakes, and they all said it just might be good come Saturday, slush should be freezing by then.
  19. Great video of urban farming! My family use to breed rabbits to sell, mind you my dad and grandfather would of rather harvested them, it's a great idea that you don't name the ones you will harvest, it does make things easier, I could only imagine if they named all the cattle on a friends farm haha
  20. Blue Star - Welland, Ontario Chip 'n ' Charlies - Niagara Falls, Ontario Clancys - Niagara Falls, New York Johnstons - Ransomville, New York Pontellos - Batavia, New York Antonios - South River, Ontario Noels Pizza - Grand Falls, New Brunswick Been to all of them multiple times and recommend stopping by for a bite if you are ever in those areas.
  21. lmao! I just noticed this reply because it was bumped up
  22. I've fished a couple lakes just south of Lake Bernard two and three weeks ago and there is some good ice to get out on, Last night I talked to some guys that I fish with that are from Burk's Falls and they said its worth going up, the sleds have packed the snow down so it's not so slushy, no problems getting out there to drop a couple lines, I think I am going back up this Saturday for some pike and walleyes. P.S. Banger Bobs in Emsdale is a MUST to visit and I also LOVE the breakfast at Antonios in South River.
  23. With most domestic vehicles yes, you're right. When it comes to European cars for instance, a 2010 Mercedes Benz E350, 3.5 Litre V6 requires 229.51 synthetic oil spec. which can range from $10.00 to $15.00 a single quart, add the fact that this benz will take 9 quarts to do the oil change yourself, so you are already at $90.00 in just oil, then you need a cartridge filter which can be from $10.00 to $25.00, so you're at $100.00 + tax and that was using the lowest prices if you get a discount or could find the oil and filter on sale for as cheap as I mentioned. Then I hope you checked to see if you have a dipstick? a lot of European cars don't have dipsticks no more and require you to leave the car in auxiliary, play with the computer setting till the car reads your oil level, usually 10 minutes. Then you got to shut off that annoying oil change reminder light, which you probably don't have the tool for, so off to the shop to get hosed on that anyways because you didn't use that shop for an oil change add another $15.00 to $50.00, and then you're looking for a place to dispose of you're 9 quarts of used oil properly. Domestic cars, way simpler $30.00 for quality virgin oil and filter (if your vehicle requires 5 bottles or less),they have dipsticks and usually just use the tripometer or gas pedal to reset light yourself, dispose of oil and voila! done.
