  1. There was a post on another board by a bud that was perch fishing and one of the perch had a large 1.5" Mayfly nymph in it . I thought wow that thing is huge and well,I got to tie some of these. So I did.LOL The hooks are to light for whities, but I will fix that soon,as I want to use these for whities as a dropper. Opener will be here soon on the small rivers and streams,I have been watching a lot of Euro Nymphing . I am very intrigued in trying this, so I tied up some to try. Weighted fly on the bottom and a light one on a dropper. You can tandem or tri this set up. I will start with the tandem, and work my way up . One tangle at a time .LOL

  2. My manual says to pull the plugs and fog. So I do that. One time my motor was hard to start after a lot of damp weather. So I have been putting gas stabil in every tank. Then it’s in the carb for the winter too. I use my fish finder run time to tell me when to change engine oil/lower unit oil. I have a log book for all engine, boat and trailer maintenance.

  3. Pretty much what Wayne said, my F40 takes 2 litres of 10W30 oil, about 1/2 litre of lower gear oil. Water runs out when vertical. But I do the same, let the motor sit in the water for a minute before starting, lets water up into the impeller pump.

  4. Still running the original spark plugs in my 2007 x 275 Verado. She's on her 2nd fine fuel filter and 5th course one in the water separator. I've skipped a few years on oil / filter changes, pending usage and always check the lower unit oil. Mine's almost 2 gallons of engine oil ($120) and almost 2 quarts of lower gear box oil ($36). Oil filter 15 bucks at best. Lower unit all the way down self drains. Next outing don't just dump it off the trailer and hit the key, let it soak in the lake for a few minutes first. Other than the last few years I've Musky fished until we couldn't break the ice at the ramp anymore in December.

  6. I got my 1st vaccine down in Peterboro yesterday and 3 different people working at the clinic thanked me for doing my part to protect others and help put an end to this nightmare. My wife goes on Tuesday and then we both go back mid-July. And FWIW, I couldn't believe how well organized it was and how smoothly the entire process went....the proverbial well oiled machine.

  7. I agree completely social media is imperative these days we spend hundreds of dollars advertising each month only in Ontario. The challenge in times like this is getting people to book. People are afraid to make a booking. Lockdown after lockdown and stories of lost deposits and delayed reservations makes it tough, We completely get it. We made a decision to offer residents a full refund if your trip get cancelled due to a covid lockdown or restriction that prevents your trip from going forward. Hoping that if people have nothing to loose then they will feel more comfortable making a booking. Even then people are afraid. I had a Coorporate trip where the business was picking up the tab, and they could not find enough people willing to travel for free!! Times are tough and unprecedented for sure. Hang in there folks we will get through this. Adam

  9. Just like last week, the ski hills were infested with the travelers. If they don't put a complete travel ban in place, (other than for work, food and meds), it will never stop. Now there's reports that there are cases in Florida where people with 2 shots are still getting infected. Hmmm and there's a 10% chance the shots will not work for some. So, shoot up a million and have a chance that 100K still get sick.

  15. Obviously not that my scenario is the rule because I have heard of plenty of people that dont know where they got it, but being 100% upfront and honest...the only people that I know that have gotten it are either A) working in a factory where it went through like wild fire (ok totally unavoidable) or B ) were going to the gym, had a family birthday party with 5 families converging in one house C) were the type that said and still say to this day "Covid is no big deal" and recently saw us at the grocery store and saw that we were wearing a cloth mask over our surgical mask and called us "paranoid" I dont think to many people who's entire households are working from home and abundantly cautious are catching it very often. I travel for work regularly and lets just say that not all regions are as compliant with safety measures as others...the irony is that the regions disobeying the rules the most are the ones that are now identified as target areas for vaccination. Not exactly how its fair that the guys that break the rules the most are the priority for vaccines while people with immediate health complications are forced to continue to wait...but I guess we need to at least make an attempt to fix stupid? I cannot friggin wait to get vaccinated and get this stupid thing over with.
