  1. But the plant is net zero emissions, they planted some trees and pays their share of the carbon taxes, paying a carbon tax is going to save the world oh and the budget will balance itself

  2. This set up has worked very well for me.......... Fridge, Stove, Sink, Microwave, Porta-Potti, Micro Furnace, upper and lower beds, etc. I bought it privately, 12 years old at the time, gently used, stored indoors every winter.

  3. I wouldn't run a XH rod, especially for Kawartha fish. My fav rd this yeah is a 9'6 Legend Tournament MH. Way more fun fishing this thing then the pool cues I started out with.

  4. Wife and I are up in Oddawa looking after grandkids, and doing gluten-free stuff. The pantry and freezers are full to overflowing with ultra-processed stuff, hard to find anything I actually would enjoy eating. I did hit the grocery store yesterday so I could put on a brunch today with bacon and eggs, hash browns and other good stuff, plus some yellow and orange peppers AND canary melon and Santa Claus melon. Not that I ate any of that stuff... Doug

  5. Too far for the OP but if anyone in the Kawartha area needs repairs for Shimano fishing products they have a repair facility in Peterboro just off the 115. I've dealt with them several times and their service is 2nd to none.

  9. See photo of the Lexa above. Gives you more leverage when cranking in big baits or fighting large fish.

  11. How am I going to fry my eggs in the morning and stay dry while fishing on a rainy day ? Environmental regulations are some of the most stringent on the.planet in this country...seems like they're following all the rules. People, especially in our smaller population centres, do need good jobs. Also, considering some of the sources of this report (CBC and The Walrus), there's definitely a political agenda at play.

  16. Venison lasagna here tonight, no pics. But we all know what lasagna looks like, right? It was very good, even if I do say so myself! 😉 and oh yeah, fresh yellow beans from the garden, very toothsome. Doug

  18. It's looks like a great day for smoking ! I've got a half brisket going since 6am in the Traeger...tuxedo/ Mustard rub and mesquite/cherry smoke. Later I'm doing some Peri-Peri chickens in the wood burning oven. Got 19 people over for a beach party this afternoon...tubing, wake boarding, and SeaDoos.

  19. Surprising there hasn't been an uproar over this, plastic factory that makes the "forever" plastics, not good for anything. Once it's in the system, you can't get rid of it. Lets poison some more water bodies. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/sudbury/forever-chemicals-plant-north-bay-1.6910158
