  1. I have an Avid baitcast floatrod that has been used once. It is so mint that if you had a price sticker you could sell it at a retail store. It's an ML so rated 6-10lb line. It is a great rod for long casts fishing larger flows like the Saugeen or Niagara, $240 Firm. Also a brand new never used Abu Veritas spin rod Medium rated 8-12lb line. This is a unique 1 piece boat rod that is 8'3" long but telescopes down to 7' for rod locker storage. A great rod for fishing from a boat in places like the Niagara for Bass, Lakers and Steelies $70 firm Call 647-951-9142 I'm in St Catherines. Sorry no pics since i don't use a cell phone anymore

  2. While I have love for all species the small mouth bass holds a special place in my heart. They fight well above their weight class, attack lures with reckless abandon and many times when you catch one others will follow It’s also the species I most associate with fishing as a kid I remember fishing at the bridge in Rosedale on Balsam lake slinging top waters or Mepps Fury spinners as a kid My top 5 choices for shield lake smallies is up. The lures I would feel confident taking for bronze backs should I only be allowed 5 There are lots of other lures and techniques I like or want to try more of but these are my go tos https://www.northernjacks.com/post/top-5-lures-for-northern-ontario-smallmouth Cheers Andrew

  5. You're going to like that Yama 40 a lot, really quiet and fires up on first try. Does it have the electronic idle control? Another feature that makes trolling pretty precise.

  7. I use cue tip and those alcohol packets . And some how have never ran out of little oil tubes from Shamano. At less 30 years ago my mom got on me hard for number of fishing rods I owned. She though I was compromising our future. So the count began at Sunday dinner. At 75 rods I lied to my mom and said that's all. The truth I could have got to 100. All those are gone and replacements plus I added salt water. This maybe a problem.

  10. You can bet the geo location has been manually removed from my “annual reports” it’s a total PITA but such is life when making those reports. To be honest that’s why I didn’t do one in the fall, it’s a heck of a lot of effort to go through the photos and crop them, blur then and remove the geolocations from them. to be honest it’s not even the guys around here that post that worry me, I’d take any of the guys from here fishing if they wanted to go, it’s the lurkers that I don’t like. Or my favourite, the guy that never posted a single post ever and had the nerve to DM me and ask specifically where I was catching a particularly more difficult fish to catch. if you need to know how to safely navigate somewhere I will tell you everything I know, but if you want to know where to fish, be an active member here and feel free to invite me fishing with you. I’ll probably say yes.

  11. It's definitely the EXIF data embedded within the picture. Most phones attach GPS data to pics and people haven't the slightest idea. Within your camera app makes sure GPS location data is disabled.

  12. I believe it's not the meta data that's the problem but the visual cues in the photos. most will blur or crop out easily recognizable landmarks or locations, otherwise people will try to figure out where the photo was taken. imo, if it's a very popular and well known spot or community hole, I don't think I'd worry too much. if it were a known waterway, but a spot that doesn't see much activity, then yeah, I'll keep the location tight.
