  1. We are heading home tomorrow, nearly skunked... 1 10" eye, few perch, buncha smallies, some big cats and a sucker is all we've got so far- friends managed a 24" eye the first day, and only 3 total since sunday... the peace and quiet and serenity is well worth the price of admission tho!!

  2. Just an FWI but I'm currently up on the West Arm of Nipissing and the water level is about a foot lower than normal so I'm assuming the French will also be low which could make safe boating a bit more tricky.

  3. Samsung and many other tv's have poor quality parts, especially the capacitors which are a $10 piece. Mine gave out at 18 months and I was able to get it repaired. At the same time my 18 month old LG fridge died.. manufacturers know that they are building crap but they also know people have a very short attention span and they love shiny new things. I hope that one day someone files a class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers..

  6. If you still have a chance, try trolling deep for eyes. Guys were up there last week and did ok downrigging eyes. Ask at the lodge.

  7. Yeah, but how many 45" muskies do you think most people catch in a season? Its about the chase. Like you said, I can sit on my dock, or any bridge and catch bass all day long. At the end of the day, i fish for everything. I just don't get excited over bass. I might fish them once or twice a season. S.

  10. Good motor and reasonable price IMO https://marine.honda.ca/portables/BF5 Pretty cool feature for a 5hp the BF5 outboard comes with an high output charging system of 6 Amps at 12 Volts to power consumer demands for electronic devices on board, giving outdoor enthusiasts ample power to charge accessories including running lights, fish finders, GPS systems and other electronics, and can be connected to an optional auxiliary tank for longer journeys.

  12. I remember as a kid having a spincast zebco...was allowed to put a weight on it only and I would practice casting in a field for hours.

  13. Hey it’s a $4 rod...if I was close to Kitchener I’d buy 3-4 just to give out to my neighbours kids. That’s how kids get into fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Not starting with Stradics!! Letto, pm me the address of the Dollarama as I may be in Cambridge this week. There’s 4 young boys on my street that might need a new rod!

  14. So the original crack... is it pushed out from the sharp corners of that welded on seat or platform channel? Did you/he stop drill the ends of the three cracks before welding that blob on there? It'll last for awhile, but I suspect it will crack open again as that channel continues to work the bottom skin. All you can do is keep an eye on it. I would have put a heavy patch on it, welded boat or not, to distribute the load. You would have to grind that weld down to do so now and I don't advise that at this stage, all you can do is wait and see.
