Finding ribbing and even tubing around here is next to none and driving down to Sails just for that is not worth it right now. Found this kids craft tube stuff . Figured I would see if it would work . It is a bit on the stiff side, but I found by pulling it through your fingers, creating heat friction, it softened up and stretched nice and worked great for soft tube or ribbing . Now if I could find it in different colors . Still working on my stone fly tie . Getting there . Need to be more patient .😠

This bread is unlike any fresh bread you'll ever have, it's very dense and heavy. It doesn't have to be canned at all, any loaf pan, soup can or juice can can be used, for me it was more about trying something very different. The process is the same regardless, it's steamed in a water bath. Cheers

I am old school and still use a long rope and anchor . It,s called anchor lock by the pilot . It has auto retrieve. I just pull it up and go when I auto move . Sometimes I just look at the gps,power the motor and move .When I get to said location, I just let the anchor flow til I stop . It,s hit and miss sometimes,but I am mostly on my spot .

Personally I think 6 gauge is overkill, but I've never been in the position like Garnet mentions above. Doing it once is definitely better then having to do it again.

I think he'd said he was up to almost 50 in a few hours on the spot he was jiggin. When I first saw him at a distance thought he was in trouble because I saw his arms moving, moving all right, hauling fish in none stop. I tried to stay with him and jig with my transon mount 30 what a joke, motor in one hand and rod in the other trying stay with him in that area, lakers were stacked, I caught one and he was hauling them in. I went home and had to tell the wife about my day and the reason I had to treat myself to this thing that makes you catch more fish😇😁, I think you know that look on a womans face😏😏plus I told her it would be easier on my buddy sitting infront of the boat on the anchor rope and were in 70 FOW and I tell him were moving every 10 mins. All excellent advice. I sheathed all my sonar/gps wiring with 1/2" conduit insulation to avoid interference from other wiring. Cheap from a commercial electrical supplier.

Important to remember we've never really had to deal with anything this life altering. Be as polite and as cordial as possible in educating the idiots among us as they just don't know any better. And if you need a target of blame, look to the East at the Chinese govt and no further. They're the only reason we're in this predicament.

It's certainly a stressful time right now owning a lodge, part of which is because we don't know how long it will last but also we have been asking ourselves will people want to travel once this is over. The last 3-4 weeks have slowed down with people looking for more information and I don't blame anyone, especially if your workplace has shut down. We thankfully haven't had any cancellations( no American clients as most come from southern Ontario). So maybe a question to everyone reading this, if this is all still going on a month or 2 from now? Not necessarily isolation but the social distancing, is anyone making plans for the summer? Not even just a fishing lodge, but a provincial park or other campground? One thing that might benefit lodge operators or people that own businesses away city centers is that people probably won't be flying to Europe or going to Niagara Falls or Toronto where there would be thousands or people so a place away from crowds might be enticing. Our lodge isn't open until May Long Weekend so we aren't hurting right now, I really feel for the people that have already been laid off or had to shut their businesses during this.
