A week ago I was enjoying the warmth of Costa Rica, now it's ice time. Got out in zone 18 over the past weekend and got lucky to get a few tasties for the table.

Was in Costa Rica recently on a last minute trip. Had some fun fishing with guys I met down there. I even caught a jack off the beach and lost some others. We did the best fishing in 400 feet of water, lol. We let the guys that took us out bring the fish to market to make some extra cash for themselves.

Episode 4 I thought was pretty good overall. Good to see Taro and Paul in top spot!

Bring your winter gear, and rain gear. Your gonna need it. I'm not even sure trout season is open then. You might get something off a wharf somewhere, but that's not a great time of year for fishing. I guarantee you will see snow still then. S.

Hi all, Got out to my favourite convenient walleye spot, always a nice ride from the house, they even groomed the trail on the lake this year! Its been really mild here, averaging around -6℃ for the last couple of weeks. Only been getting out the last few days as I got my rear end kicked by a killer bout off flu or what ever, more like the plague if you ask me. Anyways, loving the mild temps at the moment, and the fish are plentiful too, pike, walleye and whitefish. Might try for trout somewhere next week, but I've got 12 days straight at work coming up, so unlikely....lol.

It’s amazing fish can thrive down there. The pressure has to be stupid high. I bet they didn’t enjoy the trip up.

Good for you Nick, that takes some guts not many have. One of the greatest quotes I have ever heard was about NFL coaching legend Vince Lombardi. "If he didn't quit his insurance sales job to coach a High School Football team he would have never coached in The NFL." I have to warn you, there are politics where there are only a hand full of employees.
