Creating great memories , cheering your team is what its all about ....albeit not the outcome we wanted ... I remember Leafs losing to Montreal in 1977 and 1978 ... that was crazy .. (Sittler, Macdonald, Salming) and then 92 and 93 (Kings and Canucks) ... (damn Gretzky) but my best memory was sitting under a tarp in Algonquin Park with Mike Borger listening to Leafs vs Bruins in 2013 on a little transistor radio ...we went speck fishing but it was no way we were going to miss the play by play ... every time the Leafs scored we were hootin and hollerin !! man we must have looked hilarious ... great feeling being able to enjoy that with another passionate fan in a place like Algonquin Park...

you're not even a fan of an NHL team, it's just general negativity and promoting miserable, anti societal hate the Leaf fans on this thread, me included, are probably the most critical and realistic of the team but we're passionate and there's a big bunch of us, in every arena, and I think that's what pisses off you loathing, miserable haters

Could you imagine being so pathetic that your life revolves around insulting fans of a hockey team, constantly ? On a FISHING forum, no less....... We get it, you don't like the Leafs, or their fans....blah blah blah.....

People who say " I was a fan once" of any team in any sport will never truly understand what someone like myself or Chris is talking about and that's ok. Also I think being a fanatic and lunacy go hand in hand so that's not really an insult. Everyone is a fan of good things... hockey, food, fishing, weather etc. What a boring statement. When you are a true fan of a team, the highs are euphoric and the lows can crush your soul. I Personally wouldn't have it any other way. Stay off the wagon! GLG

Was a leafs fan once but i then realized valuable energy was being wasted on the useless pursuit of something that didnt give anything positive in return. I don't hate them. I just don't care for them. But I do enjoy poking and prodding their blind, wooly and thin skinned followers every chance I get. I will have to correct you on one point. What fanatics mistake for passion for a crest on any jersey is actually lunacy. I don't feel the need to belong to a fraternity of silliness but if that's your bag... fill your boots. Im simply a fan of good hockey . Something fanatics, especially of the leafs nation variety know little about.
