Hank Jr
My son and I haven't been up to the Kawarthas for several years because of Covid and my son started a new job so no vacation time . I also had some heart problems . We only got out 4 days last week because of the wind and rain . We fished 2 days on Pigeon and 2 days on Sturgeon . We boated 3 Muskies had 7 follows and 4 hits from Muskies . We only count hits if we see the Muskie . One 34" er and 2 follows came from 2 1/2 ft of water in a stump and down timber shore line we fish . Some of our favorite weed edges we couldn't fish with 8 -12 mph winds . Thursday and Friday were a lot better weather wise . My son did a good job taking care of his old Dad on this trip I spent a lot of time setting instead of casting . We had a fun time and I hope we can make a trip next year . Good luck to everyone when you get out . Here is my sons first fish on Monday from Pigeon . They are so much more colorful and green compared to the LSC fish which seem to be much more pale (but are bigger)
Britton Grant
Looks like you had a good time on sturgeon lake. My friends and I used to fish there every year. We stayed at Lunge Haven. The last year there we basically caught nothing. Not even one walleye and only a couple of bass. Do you think it would be worth the trip to try again? Thanks for any info you can give. bigbuck
I was out on Pigeon on the 28th for our annual tourney, only one 30” ski was caught. We got skunked. Didn’t even raise one…..
DICKEYRIGS
I don't know about that! Pigeon has her share of monsters, here's a few. I have many more, some bigger than these. There are many fish in the mid 50"'s in Pigeon.
CrowMan
Very nice fish ! However, those vertical holds aren't the best to ensure a healthy release. That's a lot of unsupported weight pulling down on the spine.
