lew
Spotted this critter while watering the flowers this morning. Really beautiful spider with a body about 1/2" long and 1 1/2" from tip of front leg to tip of back. Not a big deal but my 1st time seeing one.

lew
Thanks guys, I just thought it was a cool little guy and thought it odd that I'd never seen one before.
Weeds
Saw a huge one of those over in Ennismore about 10 years back at the soccer fields. A first for me. Don’t recall ever seeing one in Toronto in my many years there.
craigdritchie
Yellow garden spider, totally harmless and one of the most beneficial things you can have in your yard.

Barry Willis
Very nice picture Lew, I've never seen one either, nice clarity It sure has some size to it. Here is a poor picture of one that took up residence in the back yard last summer. If you guys can, zoom in on it, you won't believe it, I wouldn't want this guy crawling around in my bed sheets, or any where else for that matter. And another creepy bug at a fishing, hunting camp that flew in the door one night.
Rizzo
I saw one of those in my garden last year for the first time. Freaked me out a bit for sure. I dang well stayed clear of it. Harmless or not, big spiders are kinda gross (in my opinion...there may be some weirdos out there who are enthralled by them) 1
Barry Willis
I can relate Rizzo. It should have been me that wrote the song I don't like spiders and snakes that Stafford came out with in 1974.
