tender52 Posted August 8, 2022 Report Posted August 8, 2022 Hi all. I need some help with this one. I was at my trailer this weekend getting ready for Deer season. The owner of the property. Asked me a question if i saw a cat on any of my trail cameras. I pulled the cards on saturday morning and no cat on all 3. He told me the area the other neighbor believes he saw the Cougar. So I jump on my buddy's ATV and down the trail to the "pond" we go. Here is the picture of what we found. Look closely and you can see the middle paw pad print.
CrowMan Posted August 8, 2022 Report Posted August 8, 2022 I'm no expert by any means....but cats (big and small) walk on their pads, with their claws retracted. They only extend their claws to climb or capture. Bears, however, can't retract their claws. I suspect that might be a young bear. 5

DanD Posted August 13, 2022 Report Posted August 13, 2022 Sorry here but I have to laugh. A serous question (which I cannot help with) which then turns into a cougar funny? Yeah this cougar needs to be put down for the sake of all other cougars that still have some self respect. Anyone really have an idea of what the tracks were made from? Dan... 1
